Island of Maui

We are very lucky to live in such a beautiful place as Hawaii.  The scenery is among the best in the world and sometimes we take it for granted because we’ve lived here so long.  Occasionally we drive over to Kailua on the windward side of Oahu and look up at the Koolau Mountains in amazement while driving along the shoreline.  But, the price of living in Hawaii is high compared to most of the United States.  The median home price is one of the highest in the country, maybe only slightly lower than New York City and San Francisco.

One of the biggest decisions someone living in Hawaii has to make is whether to buy a house or condo, or rent.  Buying a piece of Hawaii puts you in an exclusive club, but you need to educate yourself before jumping in.  There are many real estate companies here, and they provide the usual services, including Hawaii MLS listings.  But, if you’re looking for outstanding service, you should check out Mauirealestate.net.  They not only sell property on the island of Maui, but they have listings for Oahu, the big island of Hawaii, and Kauai.
Some like the big city feel of Oahu, while others like the slower pace of the neighbor islands.  So, if you decide to buy property in Hawaii, make sure you buy with the help of a real estate professional.

I decided to put some pictures when I went to Maui three years ago. It was good to reminisce and look at the pictures again. I wonder when I can go there again.
