Wordless Wednesday: McDonald's w/ Linky

Tried the McBites for the first time.

Chicken Nuggets for RC

The McDonald's Angus Mushroom Swiss Third Pounder does not look too appetizing but I love it!

Link up your Wordless/ Wordful Wednesdays posts here. I love looking at your beautiful photos.

Hawaiian Kettle Style Potato Chips (so ono!)

Ono means delicious in Hawaiian, it is a common term that they use here at the islands. For these Hawaiian Kettle Style Potato Chips that I have tried, the sooo ono one for me is the flavor Sweet Maui Onion. Depending on the

Here are my reviews for each one:

1) Sweet Maui Onion-  The packaging is purple. For me, this is the best one. I tried this before and I buy this when I used to go at Costco. The seasoning is just right and it's very tasty. Maui onions have been considered as one of the best tasting onions in the world.

2) Wasabi- I don't care for wasabi let alone a chip flavored wasabi. I had to throw this one away. I hate wasting food but I just can't eat this one. It has a very strong flavor just like wasabi. I would say, if you love wasabi, you would probably like it.

3)Luau BBQ- This is my second favorite. I love barbeque flavored chips whether Hawaiian or other common brands of chips. I think this is RC's favorite of all.

4)Original- This is not as salty as most regular potato chips. It has a mild flavor.

All of them are crispy and crunchy. They all have colorful Hawaiian packaging. Prices per bag range from $0.99 to $5.29.  For information about these Hawaiian Kettle Style Potato Chips , please visit HawaiianBrandSnacks.Com

Disclosure: I was provided the chips for free as pictured above in exchange for a review. No other compensation was received.

Pops from Chloraseptic

RC is feeling well so I'm the one to try this. It says 3 years and older. I tasted the Chloraseptic Lollipops grape flavor lollipop and it just taste like the lollipop candy except it has less sugar. For me, it's not too sweet just like those casual lollipops you can buy from stores. There's ten pieces in one box, I like the packaging for it is easy to open. I like the idea that a lollipop that looks and tastes like a candy can help combat sore throats. It is that time again that you hear people cough so I'll save the others. Hopefully we don't get sick especially RC but sore throat is pretty common so I think we'll have some use on this lollipops. We can also let some friends try it if they need help with sore throat.

Flavors include:
Strawberry
Grape
Orange

If you go to http://chloraseptic.com/, there is a coupon that you can print $1.00 off any Chloraseptic product. Chloraseptic offers variety of innovative products for adults and children that can be bought over the counter. The price is $3.99 for the whole box. Please visit, chloraseptic.com for more information.

Disclosure: I received a sample product to try as pictured. No other compensation was received.

To Do

Guest post by Gerard Mcdaniel

Moving seems to be an endless “To-Do” list. Before we left, I lived by my notepad of lists, reminders, and contact information for every person and business we used. One of my biggest headaches was trying to recall any vendors we used to make sure that we supplied correct forwarding and a change of address form. This is no easy task when you think of all the businesses and services that you use day-to-day. Once we closed on our house, I breathed a sigh of relief that maybe my lists were complete. That was not the case! I forgot that for every service cancelled, there is another service that needs to be found in the new location. So, the list making began again. I logged on to New york energy rates to figure out what supplier we would use for our energy. It is nice to move to a state that is deregulated, so you can be an informed consumer and find competitive rates. Competition certainly fuels costs, so I was pleasantly surprised to see that there were very reasonable rates for energy. I guess I can check this one off of my list.

Enclosed Bulletin Boards

I have a memo board at the back of my computer to put notes and receipts on it. I also inserted some cords (pictured below without the notes). I’ve seen some bloggers do some cute do-it-yourself boards for themselves or for their kids. I’m thinking of doing a chalk board for RC. I’ve been slacking, this project has been on my mind since months ago.

For schools and institutions, they usually use enclosed bulletin boards to protect what is posted there. They probably use these too to prevent people from just placing their own ads. Here at my apartment building, a tenant will have to get permission from the building manager before they can advertise at the enclosed cork bulletin boards. It’s mostly advertisement about an apartment unit or a parking stall. They seem to be picky with what information they post on the bulletin boards.

If you would like to purchase an enclosed fabric bulletin board or other bulletion boards for outdoor or indoor, or if you are just want to see more ideas about bulletin board, please go to enclosedbulletinboards.com. They also have some board accessories including letter sets and magnets.

Clorox Recipes For Fun And Ultimate Mess Party!

Clorox is known for its bleaching and cleaning capabilities. I remember Clorox when I was still a child especially for cleaning clothes. Now Clorox can be used throughout the house with the Clorox® Clean-Up® Cleaner. I use Clorox in cleaning the bathroom and the Clorox Anywhere spray.

Clorox just launched a new site called Recipes For Fun. If you register at cloroxrecipesforfun.com, you’ll instantly be entered to win a sweepstakes that is worth $10,000. The sweepstakes is called $10,000 Ultimate Mess Party. There are other ways to enter after you register. After I make this blog post, I am going to register not just to win but to look at the crafts and kid-friendly recipes that are posted there. I’ll probably think of a recipe to share too so I’ll have more chance of winning the grand prize. You can join me in registering so you get the same chance of winning!

Cooking and doing crafts with kids can be so fun. I don’t do much cooking with RC because of the limited space we have at the kitchen and I worry about her being burned by the oven or the stove. She can now understand that she is off limits in the kitchen. We have some magnets in the refrigerator that she usually plays with when I’m not cooking. I let her put her cereal in her bowl or let her choose her snacks in the pantry. It can get really messy! I think I am ready to take the next step and include her in my cooking. I probably would learn from her too. I’m getting prepared to be even more patient and see more mess! Eating is another thing and it’s probably the messiest part for us now. For moms, we let our kids be kids and give them a “monitored” independence. I think getting dirty is part of the fun.

I love doing crafts with RC as I shared many craft projects here that we did together. I still have to help her hands at times. Here's a craft project we recently did. It’s a craft to encourage toddlers to brush their teeth.

Here's how:
1. Fold the paper plate and tape each side to have a mouth-like form.
2. Glue the cotton balls at the edge (without lips) or at the inner area (with lips) as shown on the picture.
3. For the ones with lips, we folded the edges and colored the lips red.
4. You can make your kid draw a tongue inside.
5. For the toothbrush, we used two rectangles one bigger than the other. Glue the smaller rectangle on top as seen on the picture.

Please check out cloroxrecipesforfun.com for more information about Creative Cooking, Wacky Science, Kiddie Cooking and Arts and Crafts. You can even meet some super moms there and you’ll be able to share your recipes.

Thanks to Socialmoms for allowing me once again to grab this opportunity. Thanks to Clorox for the awesome products and now an awesome website to go to!

Shadow Shots

I was feeling tired today so I looked at this photos taken a few days ago and I wish we're by the ocean again, so peaceful, clean and beautiful.

I sort of, kind of starting to work again and some days are busy. I also revived my Ebay account that I haven't used in three years. Sometimes, I feel bad that I can't give a lot of time for RC (I'm still with her while "working" but I have to do other things as well). After all, I quit my 8 hour job because of her. She's doing good and she seems to be  a happy kid.  I still take  her to the park not everyday but about twice a week. It's been raining lately anyway in the afternoon so I feel excused on the days I don't take her. We also started going to storytime sessions so she can mingle more with other kids. I just have to think of this and then my guilt feeling starts to subside.

Thank you for all the comments and in as much as I would love to reply and comment back to everyone, I just don't have much time. I visit you back though.

Citizen Eco Drive Watch

I am using my cell phone for telling time, as most people do now, but many people still wear watches as a piece of jewelry or as a time piece for other purposes such as diving or flying.  My husband bought a Citizen Eco drive watches about a year ago and he has been telling me to get the same eco-friendly watch.  More and more products in the market are becoming eco-friendly.
I still don’t know if I want one since I can just depend on my cellphone. Majority of the people I see don’t wear watches and I think I stay at home most of the time anyway so I can just look at the clock. I only wear jewelry when I go out.
Depending on the model, the Citizen Eco drive watches are certified to be waterproof down to 300 meters, which is over 1000 feet, which makes it among one of the best dive watches in the world.  The Citizen Eco drive watches never need a battery.  They just need a very small amount of natural light once in a while and they will run forever.  Citizen watches seem to be very well made and they last for many years so it is really tempting to get one.

Portable Bleachers

Many of us have small children who we want to excel in things like piano lessons, dance lessons, or sporting events like soccer and football.  For the outdoor sports like soccer, some moms diligently drive their children to the park or field where their practice is being held.  They lovingly dress them in the latest sportswear for youth soccer players with new shoes and a jersey with a number on it.  RC is still so young but she’s getting used to the field by regular visits to the park.
These days the soccer leagues will make sure all children get to play, no matter their skill, and some leagues even make sure all games end in ties so nobody feels bad about losing.  But, after you drop you precious child off to play a game, where do you go after that?  If you live in an area with a soccer field, there will probably be bleachers for you to sit on, but if you live in a very rural area, or somewhere where soccer is not popular, you may need to enquire about portable bleachers.  Aluminum bleachers can be purchased for a reasonable amount of money and placed on a community field for everyone to enjoy by watching children play sports.
The links in this post is provided by terraboundsolutions.com. They also offer Pet Waste Stations for parks.

Philips Satin Epilator Review and Promo Code

This is a review of Philips HP6576/50 Satin Perfect Deluxe Epilator I’m surprised to receive this one. I probably was not paying attention to my emails that I got accepted to review this. I just mentioned that I get ingrown hair and I hurt myself from shaving a few weeks ago here at my blog.

This epilator is definitely better than shaving because you’ll be hairless in a few weeks. It’s not totally painless though. I still felt pain and I anticipated it because this tool gets the hair from the roots. For me, I can manage. After awhile, I get used to it. At first, you will feel some kind of shock. With a few seconds that it touched my legs, it got a lot.

It's rechargeable so there's no need for batteries. It also came with trimmer, a small pouch for storage and two shaving heads, one of which has pivoting cap.

It comes with tweezers that illuminates and has a small mirror. It has a storage that looks like a lipstick.

I think a con that I can think of this epilator is that you will have to wait awhile when the hair grows some before you can use it. It says it can get the finest hair but I still feel that you will have to grow it about a fourth of an inch so the epilator will be effective.
You will have to find the right angle but it’s very easy to use, just press the button once or twice. I like that it’s washable. It can be pricey for $149 but this is something I am willing to buy if I knew what I know now. I tried various kinds of product for hair removal including those that are infomercials on TV and I just always went back to shaving. In the long run, this is better and cost efficient because I would not have to buy a shaver.
I searched Philips HP6576/50 Satin Perfect Deluxe Epilator on Amazon and this is available on a discounted rate with free shipping. You can also get $20 off at Amazon.com when you use the code BUZZEP2O (The last digit is the letter O).
Overall, I’m so satisfied with this. I want to express my deepest thanks to Philips for allowing me to try this product for free.

Disclosure: I'm a Bzzagent and I got the Philips Epilator for free, no other compensation was received. The review is based from my own experience with the epilator.

Ho'omaluhia Botanical Garden

It's been two years since the last time that we were here at Ho'omaluhia Botanical Garden. It's our favorite botanical garden. I love the view from here and it's a big place so even if there are other visitors, there is a lot of space for everyone. This is RC's third time to go here.

RC adores this tree and she kept wanting to touch it. It's just her size.

We were here for a short time, mainly to eat our lunch and a little sight seeing. Obviously, we had KFC, also one of our favorite fast foods. There were a lot of other places to drive here that we did not go to.

It is raining on and off again lately almost everyday now.

I was caught eating RC's left over chicken.

RC was dancing here. She can dance without music!

I was taking a video of RC here.

I thought about wearing blue jeans for both of us since we had matching tops on  but decided that wearing plaid tops is enough for the "matchy-matchy" thing.

Aloha everyone!

Medical Management Course

Some of the places I have always wanted to visit are England and Scotland.  I think they are very historic, and I would like to see the castles, manors and palaces because of all the things I have read about them in history books and seen in movies.  I think most people are somewhat interested in the royal family and the recent marriage of Prince William and Kate Middleton was quite a spectacle that many people around the world watched on television.  England has a different type health system than the United States, and most people what is called the National Health Service or NHS.  It’s a government run healthcare insurance that covers every one, similar to the new law passed by Congress that will require everyone in the US to have health insurance, or the government will provide it for you if you can’t afford it.  But something that is the same everywhere is the need for talented and experienced doctors no matter where you live.

We all want our doctors to be very knowledgeable so they can give us a proper diagnosis whenever we require their care and treatment.  If you happen to be a doctor living in England, there’s a website that can provide you information about continuing education opportunities, including a consultant interview course or a medical teaching course.  The courses are taught in a variety of cities across England, including Oxford and London.  So, if you’re a physician and have interest in information about a medical management course or a teach the teacher course, you can check out medicalinterviewsuk.co.uk. This post is brought to you by their website.

Are you trying to conceive? Well, okay, sometimes I wish I have another one especially when RC wants to play with me all the time and I see how excited she is when she sees other children at the park but it’s true that I feel so blessed and lucky to have her.

Kiddotags Review and 30% off Promo Code

Although toddlers love to claim a lot of stuff as theirs, they also forget about them easily once they get distracted with other things to entertain them. One way to prevent losing your child’s things is to label them.

Kiddotags are labels that stick on about anything. They have clothing labels, shoe labels, regular sticky labels, and all are dishwasher safe or waterproof. We don’t have a dishwasher and I still wash the dishes manually so they still get wet. Kiddotags are also microwave safe, UV resistant and scuff proof. I used labels for RC’s cups and some of her other belongings like her backpack.

When I opened the envelope, I instantly thought the packaging was very cute. Then I saw the labels and they look so cute as well. It comes with easy to follow instructions.  For $17.95, you get 45 pieces of labels and I’m sharing a code for 30% off so you’ll have an even better deal.

Promo code: momdaughterstyle1

Kiddotags also offers new clothing tags as pictured above. They are small square tags but you still can still see the name of your child clearly. You know  how kids are. RC is just at home and not constantly playing with other kids like she was when she was at the daycare but she still has to change at least once usually after when she eats. These clothing labels would have been perfect when she was still going to her babysitter then to her daycare.

The ordering process is easy. You can choose the color, the font and the icon of the labels. They accept special requests if the package that you want to get is not available in the options. Shipping is very cheap at $0.99. For orders over $35, you’ll get Free Shipping.

Disclaimer: I got awesome labels to review, no other compensation was received. Thanks Kiddotags!

Proper Floor Care

I hardly vacuum when RC was not yet born. Our apartment that we used to live has a very old carpet that needed to be replaced so aside from not having the enthusiasm working on an old carpet, there was not really much to vacuum except the dust that accumulates. But now whenever we eat, there is rice and food around where RC eats.
Now, I vacuum at least twice a week. Our carpet has some stains because I did not act immediately after RC spilled her drink. I was just researching on floor and carpet cleaning and I found this article. It has some precise information on how to take care of various types of floors like vinyl flooring, laminate flooring, carpet, ceramic tile and other hardwood.
Here are some information that I found useful for our carpet flooring. (I rephrased them.)
For crayons, you can use a detergent solution. I believe that crayons allow kids to boost their creativity in a lot of different ways but they are a pain to clean. RC loves colors and they’re part of our everyday.
For ink, there are various ways to clean it. I’ll try to use this next time. You can use white vinegar, dry cleaning or detergent solution. You can also use a nail polish remover.  I usually scrub the area right away when I see ink. I know it will just be better if I let RC don’t use any pen at all and just use pencils but pens are easier to find and there is no need to sharpen.
Once you see the spill, act immediately! For a complete list of floor care, you can go to prosourcefloors.com and click on the tab product knowledge. Sometimes, we stumble on these commercial websites and see informative resources.

My Memories Digital Scrapbooking Software Review and Giveaway 3/4

I thought about scrapbooking a few years ago but I found out that the materials that will make a scrapbook look nice will cost me a lot, not just time but money. If you go to a scrapbook store, you can easily spend twenty to thirty dollars to design one scrapbook. My computer failed me at first. I was unable to download the software from their site. My Memories resolved my issue right away by sending me their disc. My memories suite is a perfect software program for scrapbooking and making videos with your pictures. You can place texts and a theme to your pictures with tons of designs to choose from and as easy as few clicks to make a scrapbook page, an invitation, etc.

This is what I made when I first tried the My Memories digital scrapbooking software. I just used one picture to show some of the designs that they have. You can place more than one picture on a page. I'll have a lot of use from this software.
It’s easy to navigate and it’s definitely cheaper than buying scrapbooking materials from a craft store. You may want to print the design you created or you can just leave it on your computer so it will be easily available for you.

My readers can also get a Share the Memories code that provides a $10 discount off the purchase of the My Memories Suite Scrapbook software and a $10 coupon for the MyMemories.com store - $20 value!  Here is the code: STMMMS86545

I hope you also enter this MyMemories Software giveaway I am hosting! Open to US and Canada.

Disclaimer: I received a free software from MyMemories Suite, no other compensation was received.

Acne at 30's

I thought pimples would stop popping out of my face once I get older but they didn’t.  I guess because I still eat a lot of chocolates and oily food. I notice I tend to get them more when I don’t sleep good. Some people say that they are caused by stress. Even if you are not conscious about the way you look, acne will force you to be especially if you have the bigger ones.

There are several skin care products to choose from especially for acne. I think people can have very different opinions about acne products because we have different skin types. We just have to pick and try which ones work the best and stick with it.

While others are trying to correct age spots and focus on their new wrinkles, I am stuck with trying to cure acne and the spots it left. I don’t usually want to put close up pictures here because of my pimples. Do you have any advice on acne? Hopefully, they will go away once I’m forty.  I hardly see older women have them.

I participated in a campaign about acne products. I will receive a compensation writing this blog post.

Storytime at the Libary

It was our first time attending the storytime at the library, we were a little late but still managed to listen to the last two books for the story telling. We'll do it regularly which will be every week. I think RC enjoyed it, they also did some crafting and it's free.

Surfboards Etc.

We live in the naturally beautiful state of Hawaii, and one of the things that is always talked about around the water cooler at work, in social circles, and even on the news every day, is the sport of surfing.  Several times per day you can even listen in on your favorite radio station and hear the latest surf report to let you know the best place for surfing and how high the waves are.
Although I don’t surf, I have talked to many people who do, and they have a passion for the sport.  Whenever someone mentions surfing, most of us think about surfboards.  But, there are many accessories that go along with surfboards to make surfing more enjoyable and safer.  They include fins if you like to boogie board, traction pads to keep your feet firmly planted on the board, leashes so you stay attached to the board after falling, and bags to keep your expensive surfboard protected.
If you have an interest in surfing, you can check out SurfboardsEtc.com, they have a wide variety of surfing accessories which include watches, sunglasses and the latest surfing apparel to keep you looking good when you are spending the day at the beach.  This post is brought to you by their site.

PeachSuite Review: Love Your Home!

I love staying in hotels because of the “vacation fee” associated with it. PeachSuite.com is an online hotel supplier & restaurant supply. When you view their website, you’ll see variety of items that you will probably find in a hotel kitchen, dining area, rooms and lobby. We don’t have a toaster, I was browsing through their selection and they have about thirty five toasters to choose from.

I know most of us don’t have our own hotels but we can buy some gadgets that a hotel uses to make cooking or decorating easier. Sometimes, homeowners get their design inspirations from a hotel they  have been to.

If you have a big home and likes to entertain at your own house, you might find something that you like at this site like banquet tables and bar stools. PeachSuite Hotel Supply & Restaurant Equipment Company  can cater to both residential and hotel needs.

Overall, the site is complete if not almost complete of Resort Linen Supplies & Catering Supplies. If you wanted to save some bucks, you can browse through their clearance items.

Princereigns Ingrown Hair Serum Review and Giveaway Ends 2/21

I’m one of those who have to continuously have to shave my legs and underarm. I don’t like to admit it, but I’m a hairy person and I haveto deal with it. I know a lot of other women are like me. I don’t wax but I shave. If I don’t shave in two days, I will have to wear pants to cover my legs. That’s how fast the hair grows in my case. However, I don’t shave every two days because I notice my skin gets drier and sometimes I even cut myself from the razor if I do it often. I guess the skin gets more sensitive when you shave a lot.

Princereigns Ingrown Hair Serum if a product I started to try a few weeks ago. It makes your skin really soft after shaving. It reduces ingrown hairs and prevents those razor bumps. Once you put it on, you’ll instantly feel some kind of “minty” and fresh. The color is green but it converts to a clear color when you use it. You just have to apply it after shaving so it is easy to use. The packaging looks a little fragile but you can easily pump the content out of the bottle. I love this product! It can be a little pricey for $34.95 for a small bottle but it works.

Additional information:
This product has been featured in many magazines including Marie Claire, Cosmopolitan and Allure. It also has been featured in many fashion and beauty websites.

I am hosting a giveaway for Prince Ingrown Hair Serum one bottle. I hope you  join!

Chinese Restaurant

This is the third time I blogged about this restaurant. They should pay me already =). It is where we went on Valentine's day which was a surprise because we usually wait till the weekend or the day after to avoid the crowd. There were other customers but it was not bad, there was no waiting just to get seated even if we did not make an advance reservation. I think people like to go to well-known restaurants on Valentine's day and for special occasions. We were able to sit at our favorite spot which is the corner (so I can take pictures without being conscious).

Shrimp with walnuts

Spring rolls

Fried Beef Rice

Sweet and Sour short ribs

After eating

How was your Valentine's Day? I did not receive flowers or chocolate candies but my husband bought us tickets to San Francisco. We're not flying soon but I'm excited that reservations have been made.
