Is Getting an MBA a Smart Idea or Not?

One of the Colorado business school  is Daniels College of Business. I searched their website and you can find useful information including graduate program funding. You can search more about MBA programs in Colorado when you visit daniels.du.edu.

My husband has an MBA which he got from one of the largest private universities on the East Coast. Since he earned it, he has been teaching part-time for several colleges and universities. He is currently still employed by one of them. It is hard because he still has to do some work when he comes home to read and grade papers but I think teaching is something that he likes doing. If he had not earned his MBA, we would not have this excellent part-time income and I would probably have to keep working. So, if you’re asking yourself, Is it worth it to get an MBA, I would still say yes because of our experience. A lot of times, hard work ends up with rewards.

I am pro-education, however, it is expensive. I believe the cost of going to school particularly college and graduate programs is what’s keeping students from pursing to get a degree. Please feel free to leave your comment either negative or positive about getting an MBA program.

For more information about Business School Colorado, you can check out daniels.du.edu. They have a blog about Denver MBA.

I am participating in a blogger campaign for a sponsor who represents MBA Programs Colorado and was compensated. However, the views and opinions are my own.

Getting an MBA is expensive and requires a lot of hard work especially when you are already raising a family. But I have to say that it's worth it. It pays off at the long run.

I've been hearing more and more on the pros and cons of grad school. It seems like the majority opinion now is that it isn't worth it, especially for law school and MBAs. I don't know enough about MBAs to say one way or the other, but if it is like law school (which I attended), it is way to expensive and the system needs to be overhauled. That being said, I don't regret my decision to attend!

I live in Colorado and considered getting an MBA from DU. But after 15 years in a professional position, I have not found an MBA to pay for iteself. It was expensive and didn't reflect an increase in salary in my field anyway.

In education, at least, getting a masters only increases your salary by a small amount, usually something like $1000 per year. The cost of a masters varies, but it usually takes at least two or three years of the above stipend to pay it off. It can be worth it if you are early on in your career, though, because it can help to boost your earnings for retirement.

Depending on where you want to go in the business world, an MBA is a must.
So I think before you shell out a lot of money, to think about where you want to grow and how you want your career to go.
