Nutrition facts

Does anybody read the nutrition facts label at the back of your snack or any packaged food? I would love to learn it. I think it would be interesting to know. It will probably be hard to keep track for people who cook their meals. If you are conscious about this information or if you are on a strict diet, you’ll have to count calories for each ingredient.

I keep telling myself that I will start to eat right, not because I want to be skinny but because I want to be healthy. If you have a toddler or even an older child, I learned that you will have to be a good example not just when it comes to your manners but also with what you eat. Kids naturally love sweet, well, I am old but I still like sweets and that’s a problem every time I try to eat healthy. It’s good that there are High Protein Snacks that are sweet but still good for the body. They even have chocolate snacks that are high protein, great for the morning. Did you notice that even the packaged food lately is being promoted as no MSG, low calories and low sodium? I believe the demand for healthy but easy to prepare food are increasing.

And it's really about time to be more conscious about what we eat with all the growing problems about obesity and other health problems in general. I for one have to be conscious more about what I eat... I love to stuff junk in my mouth :(

Good post.

we should totally pay more attention to labels but it's best when we try to prepare our own food as much as possible. it's healthier and we decrease our carbon footprint :)

New follower from Terrific Thursday blog hop! I was last week's guest host and congrats to you for being this week's host!

Hope you follow me back! Btw, I do read the labels of the foods and drinks we buy - particularly to check on the salt and sugar content.

I do read them on occasion. We tend to cook a lot of our food here from scratch, so we don't worry too much, since we know what's going into it. But, yes, they're still good to keep track of... :-)

Dropping by from Terrific Thursday today. Am one of your new followers. Congrats on being this week's guest host! :-)

Have a great day!
