Freeze-Dried Food

For all you avid hikers and campers out there, you probably already know about the benefits of taking freeze-dried food along with you for your food and energy needs while in the great outdoors. Freeze-dried food has many benefits for people who enjoy the outdoors, but don’t want to take a stove and refrigerator with them when they are hiking up a mountain trail.

The problem every backpacker runs into is weight, and how to cut down on the amount of weight they have to carry in their packs. One of the greatest innovations of the past few years is freeze-dried foods. They are already conveniently packed for you in attractively labeled pouches. The weight reduction is remarkable, at much as 90 percent or more.

These latest freeze-dried food selections are delicious and formulated using chefs and taste tests. You’ll think you were eating in your favorite restaurant while you’re actually sitting on a log viewing the magnificent scenery you ventured outdoors to see.

Freeze-dried food is not only for hikers and campers, but also for people who are concerned about the quickly increasing food prices. By purchasing it today, you can store it for long periods.

The freeze-dried.com website also has a link for educational seminars called Try-n-Buy that you can attend to learn about the freeze-dried foods and try them out before you buy them. If there isn’t one available in your area, they’ll even organize a Try-n-Buy event for you, with a minimal size requirement for your group.

No matter how wonderful you describe it....I don't think I'll ever try freeze dried food! I'm a new follower from Hop Along Friday. http://www.grandmasguidetolife.blogspot.com

Neat concept! My sister and her husband take along a lot of this stuff when they go camping. But I'm also thinking this could be a great way to stock up on easily portable toddler snacks, too!

CarliAlice- I understand that's why I made the review focused on hiking and camping.

Cheryl-I do eat a lot of frozen microwable food pero not this type yet. My hubby gave me an idea on this post, he used to hike and camp a lot and tasted a lot of freeze dried food.

Sarah- yes dried fruits are pretty good. If we only live in the mainland, I think I am going to organize an event for this. We know a lot of people who likes camping.
