Chocolates and Truffles

I love chocolates. It's good to know that there are actually health benefits from it instead on focusing on the idea that it's a fatty treat.

There's something sweet that I want to try, truffles. I don't think I ever had it before. I heard it's really good. According to Ogourmet website, which by the way has lots of unique gourmet foods to offer, "Truffles are wild underground mushrooms. Truffles live in symbiosis with certain trees – oaks for the most part, but also chestnuts, hazel trees and beeches." Did anybody try truffles before?

Maybe I thought about this because I had too much chocolate while we stayed at a cabin by the beach this weekend.

Yep, true truffles are from the forest, that is why they are SUPER expensive! I think it is different from the chocolate truffles we have, which is dusted with cocoa powder to make it look like the real truffles.

I love chocolate truffles, but have never had the real thing, too expensive for something that pigs dig up!

Thanks for commenting on my blog, yours is great! Your daughter is just adorable!! Where do you live? No, I haven't tried truffles, but did you know that trained pigs sniff them out? They are supposed to taste earthy and are so expensive! Your dress below is so pretty, wow! And you look georgous in it! I collect purses and also love to shop for clothes. My son is grown, but we have two little four year old girls in our lives, our granddaughter, and one that we babysit for.

I like chocolate fruffles but I have never eaten the original mashrooms-I have only tried olive oil with them-good but smelling a bit like oil

I've eaten many chocolate truffles, but I've never tried the mushroom. Although I have had dishes with truffle oil (like mac & cheese) and those have been delicious!

I love chocolates, we always have them around the house because the hubs and me are cholate lovers. As for truffles, I´ve only seen it haven´t tasted it kasi it´s so expensive! It grows underground and in here they train dogs just to look for it. ;)
