You have probably heard of the Jeffrey Campbell brand shoes. You can view a collection at jildorshoes.com. It is one of the common brand names that I see when I look at fashion blogs. To be more specific, the Lita Jeffrey Campbell shoes seem to always pop on my screen. This blog shows a review. It is summer time again and we're all either planning a vacation or trying to find ways to stay cool. Teenagers and young adults will normally want something more revealing, but as we age it's normal to want something more conservative. Here the colorful suits with a flower print pattern are very popular to match the scenic beauty of the islands.

Geek Gadgets 2012 (Make Your Own Dippin Dots!)

I’m going to feature some unique items and Geek Gadgets 2012 in this post.

Here’s a pirate ship cooler, I also found a treasure chest cooler at geekalerts.com. These would be great for pirate themed birthdays. RC is fond of pirates maybe because even the girly cartoons feature pirates. She even makes pirate sounds at times and has a pirate hat that she wears from time to time. For football fans, Geek Alerts also featured a football cooler before. There always feature unique and exciting items.

I love Dippin' Dots! Now I can make my own. I haven't checked yet on how much this would cost but it's an idea. It can be an activity that I can do with RC too.

 Every time I visit Geek Alerts to browse through the Geek Gadgets, I always get entertained with the pictures. Here are some more that I found today. How about these umbrellas that looks like little people wearing boots? I think they are cute.  The keyboard slippers are unique and very geeky.

Laptop Storage Carts

If you were asked to choose the one item that wasn't in very many homes 30 years ago, but now every home has at least one, you might answer correctly the computer.  Today computers are a part of everyday life, and if our computer is down at work, we just sit there and act like we can't do any work at all.  The days that we used typewriters and steno pads are long gone, replaced by the desktop personal computer, the laser printer, and USB memory devices.  But, computers themselves  have seen a major transformation over the years, going from large bulky things that took up an entire desk, to small sleek pieces of art that complement a work area.  The desktop PC's are slowly giving way to laptops and tablets, and laptops are outselling desktops now in the US. 

Along with moving away from large PC's the desks we're working on and the areas for laptop storage have evolved.  Now we have laptop carts that are easily moved from one location to another so we can be more mobile while working.  And a laptop cart can also be used as a desk and for storage of laptops or other items.  You're probably reading this on a laptop or tablet as the world of computers keeps changing and moving toward smaller devices.

I was just introduced to titanium rings, a lot of which are being used for weddings. I am using my cell phone for telling time, as most people do now, but many people still wear watches as a piece of jewelry or as a time piece for other purposes such as diving or flying.  My husband bought a Citizen Eco drive watches about a year ago and he has been telling me to get the same eco-friendly watch.  More and more products in the market are becoming eco-friendly.

I still don’t know if I want one since I can just depend on my cellphone. Majority of the people I see don’t wear watches and I think I stay at home most of the time anyway so I can just look at the clock. I only wear jewelry when I go out.

I’m not sure if these are the latest in gadgets or Geek Toys but these are the items I found at geekalerts.com. How do you want to add this pair of shoes to your shoe collection? Who says that only kids can have those lights in their shoes. These shoes comes in remote control so you can control the shade of color and style of lighting. They’re  not as expensive as most of the shoes at the runway either. You can buy them from etsy at $180.

I’m not sold with this rib cage dress. It’s a little too much for me, I think everybody will look at you when you wear this and I’m not sure if that will be in a good way.

A bra at their website is a great invention for me. Your breast will instantly increase in size without the need for surgery. I personally would not buy it but I would like try. For those who needs a little lift, this wine rack flash-bra can be a good buy.

I think this pig mouse is cute. It will be a good transition from a boring black mouse. The cracker Iphone case is kind of nice too.

 I go to the mall because of these fishes. Well, not really.I go to shop which is one of my favorite things to do. I consider it a "me-time".  It's a good break from coloring, story-time, watching cartoons, blogging and other things that I do as a stay at home mom.

I Heart Tea Collection

Since Tea Collection gave a dress and pants to RC almost a year ago, I’ve mentioned Tea Collection at least three more times here. If you are reading my blog since last year, you may have also seen RC wear the dress at least three times here. I think it might be time to buy from their website because they are having an extra 20% off on already discounted items. I check out their website often for girls clothing and this is the only time I’ve seen this deal.

Since RC was born, I’ve really enjoyed looking at kid’s fashions because I love to dress her up. For me, it is even more fun than dressing myself up. If you go to their website, in some way it is like looking through a kid’s fashion magazine. I also love looking at their fan page on Facebook because of all the pictures of cute kids wearing their clothes. I became more active in Facebook since I made my own fan page for my blog.

Boat Shoes

Temptation is knocking once again. I am beginning to believe that sometimes having very small feet has an advantage. I probably own more pairs of shoes if it’s easy to find my shoe size. A lot of times, I find the right size but not the right shoes for my feet. These shoes are what I am talking about. Since size 4.5- 5 is not available, I am going to have to pass.

Boat shoes are beginning to be popular nowadays; you can view a history about them in Wikipedia. They can also be called topsiders. The Lacoste boat shoes and Sebago shoes looks very comfortable as pictured above.  Do you own a boat shoes? I don’t have one yet. I think they look cute, casual, comfy and durable.  Although I like shoes and sandals with at least an inch and a half of heels, this boat shoes will be great for running errands and going places with RC. I can wear them all year round.

Dinner at Outback Steakhouse

I had a hard time with this dress. I thought because of the loose design, I could fit in size small. It came in the mail and my arms can’t fit in the arm holes. It is also too tight at the chest. It took me awhile to figure out how I will DIY it to make it fit me. I decided to cut the sleeves, cut it vertically at the chest area and put some flowers on it.  I can't return it cause I ordered it from the clearance section.

I love this boots, it's Cole Haan, my first ever of that brand, it's over $70 which is already high for me but that price is 75% off the regular. I got it from Nordstrom Rack over a week ago. I think I got smarter with buying shoes lately since I have to think if I can wear it with RC. I have to be able to wear it often. Price is secondary thing that I consider now. I notice most of my shoes are about $50  or less per pair.

RC being hyper again. I think she got this attitude from me. I am loud and talkative when I'm with people I am comfortable with but I can be very quiet with other people. She is definitely sassy and sometimes naughty with her parents.

Outback is another restaurant we love. We've been here in their Waipio restaurant at least 4 times in  but we have never  been in their Waikiki location.

RC was asleep the entire time we were at Outback. We had to take out some food for her.

I'm lazy to put captions with each of the food pictures. When we were there most people are watching the football game by the bar. Did you notice that at restaurants? Even Ruby Tuesday does that Football watching thing.

By the way, we had $9 off our order so we had some discount. Do you like Outback Steakhouse?

 

China Sourcing

We have our favorite items in our home, a favorite dress, a favorite purse and so on.  I have some Coach and Dooney and Bourke handbags that are made in China but they are of great quality as opposed to the belief that items made in China are cheap and easily broken. They are not cheap either. If you get them on sale, they are probably at a reasonable price but not cheap.

What do you think about China sourcing? I know that there is an ongoing issue about outsourcing jobs and importing products from other countries.  Nike has a factory in Vietnam. I’ve seen some of my clothes that I bought that are made in the Philippines like Anne Klein, Old Navy and Gap.

Just like other issues, there are pros and cons of China sourcing. I would say that I benefit from it because I am a frugal person. I shop at Wal-Mart which most of their products are from China.  However, if I’m going to start an EBay store, I definitely would not be able to compete with sellers in China because their items are very cheap.

Big Haired by the Sea

Mom and RC have the same hair. For my hair, it's even harder to manage because I just can't tie it at the back. I am such a BIG haired woman.

RC's dress is made by yours truly. It was from my old blue dress that I never got to wear. Now RC  is going to have a lot of use from this blue dress I made for her. Her headband is also made by me. She has lots of headbands now.  The dress I am wearing was given by Yandy.com. They sell lingerie but they also have dresses. It's very comfortable.I'll wear it often.

I have projects that I plan to share here because one of my new hobbies is to look at craft and cooking blogs and find inspirations. I'm also thinking of going back to workforce on the weekends if I can find one but I haven't really tried searching yet. If it ever happens, I am going to be a part time worker and a work at home mom (because blogging is like working from home).

Jessica London Sweaters

Here are more fabulous items! I heard of Jessica London before but I was just not paying attention to the brand. I usually just look for the prize and style unless the brand is popular. Jessica London has so many fans on Facebook and there are so many fabulous clothes on her website. I should have known!
