Chinese Restaurant

This is the third time I blogged about this restaurant. They should pay me already =). It is where we went on Valentine's day which was a surprise because we usually wait till the weekend or the day after to avoid the crowd. There were other customers but it was not bad, there was no waiting just to get seated even if we did not make an advance reservation. I think people like to go to well-known restaurants on Valentine's day and for special occasions. We were able to sit at our favorite spot which is the corner (so I can take pictures without being conscious).

How was your Valentine's Day? I did not receive flowers or chocolate candies but my husband bought us tickets to San Francisco. We're not flying soon but I'm excited that reservations have been made.

Gordon Biersch

Gordon Biersch is a good place to eat with friends and family. Their indoor is more family friendly and I notice most people who are drinking are at the outdoor area. You can enjoy a waterfront view while drinking or eating. The last time I've been here was about 5 years ago. Their food is affordable considering the location. I ordered some of the cheapest plates in their menu.

Bale Sandwich and Restaurant

I had a guest post here at my blog a few days ago about tightening your belt and one of the tips is to refrain from eating out. I'm here again posting buying ready to eat food. I love to eat out, but it's true that it is much cheaper to make your food from home. I don't have my own car and  I don't own a fancy phone so maybe this is something I can keep doing but I'll still try to make food from home more often to save more.

One of my New year's resolution for this year was to stop eating at restaurants too much but later this year, I think we ate out a lot again. However, this one is cheap, as you can see it is not fancy at all and the food is delicious. Sometimes  you can find the best food out there at the old and cheap places.

I believe this one is Vietnamese. They give you so much food too in one plate. We requested an additional plate for RC, she had rice and chicken.

Teriyaki chicken, garlic shrimp, spring roll and rice

There are more than one Bale Restaurant here in Oahu. I am not sure with the other islands. I'll go back at this place for more great food.

Lunch Dinner Cocktails

It's RC's idea to wear her wings. Maybe I can consider this as her second outfit this Halloween. She wears this a lot in the apartment and pretends to be a butterfly.

I think RC was a little shocked with the darkness and the loudness of this place. I was too. Well, it's always nice to try new restaurants. This one is more of a bar. I think we were the only ones who were there and not drinking any type of alcohol. Everyone except for their staff were also watching the football game and shouting at the top of their lungs. It's a different kind of lunch.

The food is great and the ambiance is actually cheerful. The waitress was very nice. I wish they have a plastic cup for RC's drinks.She almost spilled it because she reached it and trying to lift and drink on her own. I'm being so watchful since that first time she broke a glass at a restaurant.

RC did not want to eat anything else except for the french fries.

We also went to Target that day and I got to spend a gift card that I won sometime ago.  I always have to spend more than the gift card. I wish I'll win a shop till I drop shopping spree (this is me dreaming).  I'm happy that I won. I shopped for "potty gadgets" for RC. I think she is ready for the transition from having a small potty chair to sitting on the toilet. We started yesterday.  I'm so proud of her. She's not fully trained yet but I thought it is going to be harder.

Max's of Manila Restaurant

I love Max's of Manila even when I was still in the Philippines.  I was so excited to go here and order. When I was working, I take advantage of the Filipino food that I can buy near where I work but now I don't get to buy them easily.

I love banana ketchup, I buy it from the Asian store when I get the chance.

We're getting used to our short hair.

We regret ordering the pork sisig, they put minced ginger in it. I don't want to chew on ginger.  I'm pretty sure they changed the way they cooked it this time 'cause this was not the first time I ordered this at Max's.

I almost forgot to take some pictures. We got a corner seat again, very condusive to take pictures.

Dinner at Outback Steakhouse

I had a hard time with this dress. I thought because of the loose design, I could fit in size small. It came in the mail and my arms can’t fit in the arm holes. It is also too tight at the chest. It took me awhile to figure out how I will DIY it to make it fit me. I decided to cut the sleeves, cut it vertically at the chest area and put some flowers on it.  I can't return it cause I ordered it from the clearance section.

I love this boots, it's Cole Haan, my first ever of that brand, it's over $70 which is already high for me but that price is 75% off the regular. I got it from Nordstrom Rack over a week ago. I think I got smarter with buying shoes lately since I have to think if I can wear it with RC. I have to be able to wear it often. Price is secondary thing that I consider now. I notice most of my shoes are about $50  or less per pair.

RC being hyper again. I think she got this attitude from me. I am loud and talkative when I'm with people I am comfortable with but I can be very quiet with other people. She is definitely sassy and sometimes naughty with her parents.

Outback is another restaurant we love. We've been here in their Waipio restaurant at least 4 times in  but we have never  been in their Waikiki location.

RC was asleep the entire time we were at Outback. We had to take out some food for her.

I'm lazy to put captions with each of the food pictures. When we were there most people are watching the football game by the bar. Did you notice that at restaurants? Even Ruby Tuesday does that Football watching thing.

By the way, we had $9 off our order so we had some discount. Do you like Outback Steakhouse?

 

Red Lobster Seafood Heaven

This is one of the few times we go to Waikiki. I love Waikiki but my husband is not a fan of the place because of the traffic going there and there's usually a lot of people everywhere. If there's Red Lobster somewhere else we'll probably go there instead but this is the only one in Oahu as far as we know.

I took RC to witness the live lobsters and she likes them.

This is yet another late lunch. I think I'm getting used to this. We usually have late breakfast anyway on the weekends so we are not in a hurry to get our lunches. It's really great for taking pictures too, there's not much people in the restaurant.

Whoever started the trend on giving coloring materials to kids at restaurants is a genius.

We were sitting at the corner so I was able to take a picture of the interior of the restaurant.

I did good with taking food pictures. I took pictures of everything that we had except for one salad.
