Moanalua Valley Park and Playground

It's been awhile since I made a post like this with a lot of pictures. Finally, our family went out on a weekend with a camera.

Before we left our apartment building:

This is our first time at Moanalua Valley Park, it is a small park with playground, small outdoor gym and two basketball courts. It has some huge trees and a picnic table. It was drizzling while we were there and there were no other kids at the park except RC.Still, we took a walk around and enjoyed the view.

RC is ready for Valentine's day. She was wearing a dress full of hearts. I was wearing my Bacon Element shirt in which I made a review HERE with a giveaway which is still ongoing. This is what I've been wearing a lot lately, just t-shirt and shorts.

This rock behind us was wet and so is all the grass.

These leaves are gigantic. I seem to always see this plant at various parks and botanical gardens here in Oahu.

Mom and RC by the Sea

I was having a bad hair day. Sometimes, I feel like I don't want to share my pictures here especially with more people looking at my blog but this is how I started blogging. I was usually placing pictures of me and my daughter during our weekends. Practice is also helpful. Somehow, you'll get used to taking and posting pictures if you do it often. I heard it's the same with taking your own videos which I haven't done.

This is an industrial site in Aiea overlooking the Pearl Harbor. We found this small pieces of land sitting in between small business outlets so we decided to take a break, look at the fishes and the ocean.

I'm using a second hand floral top given to me while I was in the Philippines last year. Tommy Hilfiger handbag from Ross Dress for Less. RC is wearing a Cinnamon Girl dress (local brand) and Children's Place purse.

Mom and Daughter in Pink

This tutu is still big for her and it's only two layer so it's sheer. She has to have a dress on first. It's a semi DIY from an old dress.  RC's all time favorite costume is princess. I think most little girls dream of being one. She never says no to wearing princess.

I'm also wearing pink. I think this is the second or third time I wore this. Do you wear jumpsuits?  It's hard to go to the bathroom wearing a jumpsuit on;). I'm getting tired of the mom bob. I need a new hairstyle.

Some women says they don't wear pink but I think it's a very feminine color. I don't really mind wearing any color. When I was way younger, people would tell me not to wear bright colors because I'm too dark. Clothes can be fun, I think we should wear whatever we feel like as long as we don't offend anybody.

Trick-or-Treating 2011

This is the first house that we went to. I love how they did to their front yard, very creative.

Meet the nurse and the little sailor. I was suppose to wear my sailor dress too but I did not want to wear something more elaborate than RC so I decided to wear this simpler Red Cross nurse costume. I just made the hat from a paper and later took it off. I love looking at all these decorations. They are spooky but fun at the same time. RC's dress was sponsored by Yandy.com (please don't click if sexy stuff offend you) a few months ago. One of the very few kids' costumes they had.

As usual, I look like I had more fun than RC at the pictures =). She had a simple sailor dress but we still received compliments. She can wear this dress for everyday. It was hard to get her focused on the camera when she just wants to go trick or treating.

We only walked for an hour and RC was tired already. She did not take a nap in the afternoon. I did not know that my slip were showing but it was dark.

This is a good idea, pineapple carving instead of pumpkin. If I don't forget, I'll probably try this next year. This year, we decided not to carve pumpkins because of the mess.

This was really spooky. The face of the man looks real. RC was a brave girl, she did not get scared at all on all the Halloween stuff she saw.

Halloween is over, next will be Thanksgiving. Do you decorate your home with Thanksgiving decors? Maybe I'll start on Christmas crafts instead, after all I'm Filipino and Christmas decors starts September in the Philippines, no kidding! I want a Christmas tree this year but I think I have to get rid of some stuff here or store some so we can make a space for a tree.

Hair Cutting Session

First I cut RC's hair in the bathroom and then in the living room which we spend most of our time during the day.  

My face is getting rounder. I need to do Zumba more than once a week. Her dress is made by me from her dad's shirt and I used a collar from one of her baby dresses she can no longer wear. I'll probably blog about it later.

Yesterday after I cut RC's hair, I thought maybe I should have left it the way it was or maybe I should have made her go to a kid's salon. Today, her hair looks better.

We're both wearing stripes with leopard print. I think RC likes her new hair. The shorter, the easier to manage and not too many tangles.

We chopped my hair off today. I forced my husband to do it. It's not perfect but it's okay. We saved on gas, at least $50 and at least 3 hours of time and we had fun. Yes, the whole family had a hair cutting session at different days within the week. Today was my hair's turn. I'm donating it to Locks of Love. It's my third time to do it.  I hope I can send my hair this week and maybe next time we can also donate RC's hair but I doubt that I'm going to let her hair grow by 10 inches before we cut it again. 10 inches is a lot of hair, some people ask me why I grow my hair long and then just chop it off really short. It's  because Locks of Love will only accept at least 10 inches to be donated as their website says.

Moanalua Gardens

Please forgive my poses. It was one of those days when I feel like I want to be a model. At least instead of saying, "only in my dreams" I can say "only in my blog" I am a model. I love this park Moanalua gardens, we go here often before. It was also the perfect place to take pictures because you'll probably see tourists rocking even  more poses than you. So I went ahead, just did my thing, no shy moments! Even RC enjoyed it.

They have old homes but we were not allowed to go in. It was still good to see them from the outside. It rained hard while we were there. Sometimes the sky is so unpredictable it is so hot with the sun and then it's raining the next minute. We found shelter under the trees while it was raining.

RC holding her hibiscus. We always pick this kind of flower when we go walking or when we go to the park. So far, nobody told us to stop picking flowers, after all, they grow so fast.

My polcadot belt that I have for at least seven years already. Time goes by so fast. I still remember buying this like it was only last month ago. It was hiding in my closet and finally was able to use it again.
