Five Men’s Shaving Tips From My Husband

I hope there are men/husbands that are also reading my blog. Here is the article that my husband made about shaving.

1. Although it may seem obvious, mens shaving should be done on a regular basis. If you let your beard go for a week or more, shaving becomes much more difficult. If you shave on a daily basis, it will become second nature and the task will only take a few minutes each day. Make shaving part of your morning routine, somewhere between showering and putting on deodorant, but the important thing is to do it every morning.

2. Prepare your beard by splashing the hottest water you can tolerate onto your face. Hot water opens up the skin’s pores and prepares the beard for the shaving products such as shaving cream or electric razor lotion. If you use cold water, the shaving cream won’t work well, and the blade will be pulling the hairs out instead of cutting them, ouch!

3. Have a good shaving cream. There are cheap shaving creams, but like everything else, you get what you pay for. Spend a little more for quality mens facial products, and your face will thank you. A good shaving cream will not only lubricate your skin, but it softens the beard allowing the blade to cut more efficiently.

4. Use a good quality razor. There are many brands and varieties of razors on the market, so choose a known brand and the type you’re familiar with. If there wasn’t demand for all the different varieties, they wouldn’t be for sale very long. All men have different shaped faces and many have sensitive skin, so choose your razor accordingly.

5. After shaving, use an aftershave which are skin products for men. They contain alcohol which kills bacteria and they also smell good keeping you socially acceptable to the fairer sex. Aftershaves can condition the skin with moisturizers.

This is something new I learned from my husband today. I thank him for making this post for my blog.  As women, we don't hear too much about male skin care. I can actually use these tips myself when I shave my legs later today.

I am participating in a blogger campaign by Bucks2Blog and was compensated. However, the views and opinions are my husband's.  Thanks for reading and for your comments! I hope you are having a great weekend.

Jumping picture

My first jumping picture! I was doing the jumping jack here.

Again, here I am posting something. I've been posting a lot this  month but that's a good thing. It's hard to keep it all in my head. Some people say that I'm a quiet person but if blogs can talk, mine is going to be one of the loud ones. These pictures were taken two weeks ago if I am not mistaken. I did some posing techniques here. Do you ever think sometimes that "this picture has too much pose in it and wonder if I will post it in my blog?" I do haha. But I always end up posting the picture anyway.

I'll try to visit more blogs this weekend. What are your plans?

Thank you so much to those who liked my Facebook fan page. I don't have any pictures yet and no posts yet there. I'll try to be  more active in the coming days. 7 likes! woohoo! If you can, please keep them coming. =)

Invitation Styles

I featured a children’s party invitations website here before and now I’ll write about wedding invitations. Although I did not attend a lot of weddings, I have seen a lot of wedding invitations. Some are really fancy and some are very simple.

Invitationstyles.com is offering free shipping on orders $40 and above. I will have hard time choosing which one because there are so many to choose from and all of them are simple but elegant designs. Luckily, I’m already married so there’s really no need for me to choose now. I notice they also have different shades of color from light to dark purple, the same thing with their red, from light to rich red.

I believe you can also order even if you need invitations for other occasions. They have thank you notes and even the DIY invitations. It’s amazing how much art a paper can hold. Here are some pictures I grabbed from their website. If you check it out, I’m sure you will find lots more that you will like.

P.S. Thank you so much for visiting! I hope we all have a great weekend.

I'll be one of those who will be doing an actual review after I receive my order. I don't want to waste my hard-earned money on expensive frames and lenses.  My vision is not 20/20 but I was refusing to wear eyeglasses. I used to wear one and I'm ready to wear them again especially with these affordable eyeglasses now on the market. They're stylish too. Here are some pictures I got from Zenni Optical website. A simple one would be good but I think I also like the second eyeglasses with the design at the sides. I might get crazy and buy two. My husband also needs one, we're planning to order probably this weekend.

Classic trench coat for my daughter

Guest post written by Pamela Givens

One of the things that I miss the most about having my daughter around the house is our impromptu shopping trips. She's away at her first year in college, which has been an adjustment for the both of us. But I would have to say that it's been a little tougher on me because she's in heaven now at her dream college with lots of new friends. She'll be home fro spring break in just a few weeks and I thought it would be nice for me to do something really nice for her.
Instead of just take her shopping, I wanted to buy her something and have it waiting on her bed for her when she gets home. I went online to get some inspiration for that and while I was searching I ran across some information about http://www.satelliteinternetbroadband.com/ and read about it a little. I showed it to my husband and we decided to sign up for one of the packages for it we found on the site.
I found some really great classic trench coat and thought that my daughter could use one. They're perfect for chilly weather and would be easy for her to throw on before class.

Napleton's River Oaks

Once again, I am going to write about cars. Vehicles are a part of our lives and it is one of the greatest inventions ever. Life has gotten easier because of cars.

Because I don’t have my own car, I will have to start riding the bus again pretty soon so I can go places when my husband is working. RC did not experience riding the public bus here yet. I think she is so used with riding in our family car. I think she will like it. I will have to remember to take a picture on her first time.

For those who are looking for Chicago area Chrysler Jeep Dodge Dealer, you can check out riveroakscjd.com. They also offer oil changing and other car services; they do have coupons on their website. Who says coupons are only for food? Another useful resource is their car blog which features variety of cars, pictures and description.

Unique Promotional Items

I know some of you have your own business and you may need promotional items to set your products apart from the competition. Promotional items can be cups, pens, bags, mouse pads, or a variety of other objects with your company’s logo and contact information.
Branders.com offers all types of promotional products. Their prices seem very reasonable and they offer customer service and a toll-free number. So, if you have a business that you want to advertise, or even if you just want items with your family name on them, this is the website to find them. I’ve never seen such a huge variety of items offered for promotional purposes in one place.
Customized pens are prized below a dollar each. Promotional shirts can be purchased as low as $3.28 each. Adhesive notepads are only $0.26 per pad. They sell pencils for only $0.13 each. They work as wholesaler so that's the only downside I can think of. You will have to buy in bulk. They also offer eco-friendly products. I started using my promotional labels with my blog web address and next time I will probably order from Branders.com.

This post is brought to you by Branders.com and all photos are from their website.
