Learning is fun!

Learning can be fun. I teach RC by playing, dancing, singing (I’m off tune but she doesn’t mind), coloring and those fun things that she like. She used to like flash cards and I did not have a problem with the schedule because she would remind me when she is in the mood for learning but lately she is getting bored of them so I have to think of other ways. She brings out the child in me and we are both having fun. Right now it is easy, I have the knowledge to impart what she needs to learn (I hope).

I was eating with my coworkers earlier and those that have kids going to college were talking about how expensive it is to send kids to school particularly college education. They mentioned that SAT tutoring can be helpful in preparing them for college. A lot of things can be involved like financial aids, the writing faculty and those sorts of things. I know even when our kids get older, we don’t stop being a parent and I certainly want to be involved with RC even if she already has a family of her own. Maybe I will also teach my future grandchildren and play with them.

We can probably find more than a hundred of reasons on why education is important. I would like to be positive in my method of teaching RC. It is hard sometimes when I am already tired but a mom has got to have a lot of patience. I hope they are also positive at the child care where she is going to. I would also have to credit them for imparting knowledge to RC. She is learning new words almost everyday.

Before I post about the first meme I joined for this blog, I would just like to share this:

Let us continue to pray for all the victims of tsunami in Japan. There are some festivals here that has been cancelled to give respect to our Japanese fellowmen. It is really sad, seeing all the destruction the calamity made.

I remember the sirens waking me up at 2 AM. So we turned the TV on and saw the news about the earthquake and tsunami. It was a long day. Some people here that lives near the shore were also evacuated but at about 8 AM the warning was cancelled and I have to go to work. I also heard the news about the island of Tonga (which is also a Polynesian island ) having an earthquake a few days after so I am still worried. It seems that the earthquakes are occuring consecutively now.

On another note, I think it is a good idea for blogs to support each other.

Paparazzi mom

Lots of cuteness in this post. I know I may be biased but this is my blog and it's my daughter. =)

So I was like RC's paparazzi taking these pictures. I love the leopard print dress that she is wearing. I think it is actually a shirt. For those who have girls, this is a good idea, some shirts can be worn like a dress and they won't outgrow it too fast. When they get taller, they can use it then as a shirt if it is still in good condition.

I took RC to the doctor last week for follow up, she is all well now. It was just me and her at the waiting area so I was able to take some pictures. RC got busy playing with the toys.

I love how they decorated the walls with all the greeting cards the doctor receive from his patients.

Inside the examination area, the part that RC hated the most.

She is growing to be a little lady already. Everyday she plays with my purses and shoes. She is turning to be a girlie girl except I don't think she likes camera now as much as she liked it before.

Mailman: Work in Style

I was just thinking in the old days, there was no internet access. We would not be blogging right now and we will all be using the postal service to keep in touch with people we know who are far away.

They have trousers, coveralls, shirts, shorts, rainwear and accessories. Unfortunately, the only person I know that works in the postal area is our mailman and I don’t even see him often.

Blog review: Used Cars Chicago

Chicago seems to be a nice and prosperous city from what I already saw in pictures. It is in my “someday to do list” to visit this place.

Recreation area

When we went to a hospital in Missouri for RC, I was impressed at the decorations and the accessibility of the area. I appreciate the effort they put in the facility to make their hospital very kid friendly. The children can play or watch cartoons while they wait with their parents. It is one less thing to worry about is to entertain your kids especially when they are sick.

 

Even when inside the examination room, the walls are all decorated and there is a toy at the wall which RC enjoyed.

After a long day of playing and waiting, she finally dozed off.

Speaking of recreation, this is what I am dreaming right now for my own entertainment. I would like to have one of these above ground pools. I think me and RC will enjoy swimming here together. If you have a house with space outdoor, this is also a good way to entertain. A lot of people love to swim. It looks a lot of fun just looking at the picture.
