The Funky Monkey

You probably saw me wearing my funky monkey shirt at least twice in my blog posts. What I love about this shirt is the monkey because it’s funky! It looks and feels like a regular shirt but after many washes, it looks the same as when I first had it, even the pink monkey does not peel or fade. It’s very comfortable and it’s great for everyday. The shirt is a little long for me but that is because I’m a very short person.

You can check out the Tshirtprinting.net website to view more of their unique designs, they also have printed men’s t-shirts, printed ladies t-shirts, printed kid’s t-shirts, workwear, vests and promotional clothing.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

AMS Fulfillment

If you are a seller of products, there are a few options for fulfilling the orders your customers place. You can have an inventory of items stored in your home and then pack the order and ship it after the order is received. As you get larger, you might need warehouse space or storage facilities to store a larger inventory of items, and you will eventually need to hire people to manage your inventory, packing and shipping. The complexity of the operation will grow as your business grows and orders increase.

There are product fulfillment service companies which will do everything for you. The orders placed on your website are routed to the fulfillment company, who will pick and pack your item and ship it. They also will keep an inventory on hand. Since they do all the logistics for you, you won’t have to hire additional employees or rent space to store your product inventory. If you think you need the help of a fulfillment services company, check out www.amsfulfillment.com. They provide storage and warehousing by storing your items until an order comes in. They also do inventory control by maintaining inventory counts as goods are shipped. When an order is received, they provide pick and pack services. One there’s order fulfillment or the order is packed, they’ll arrange for shipment of the product.

This post is brought you by www.amsfulfillment.com. Thanks for letting me write about the services you offered. I learned from your website.

Appliance Removal Solution

If you’re like most people, you have collected stuff over the years and it’s currently piled in your closets and garage, or maybe you’ve even rented a storage unit for all your stuff. I would say that over half the garages I’ve seen don’t even have space for a car because they’re full of things that are being stored and not being used. Most of us come to a point and we tell ourselves we’re going to get rid of that old refrigerator in the garage, or that old 150 pound dinosaur TV that’s collecting dust in the basement. Maybe you’ve recently upgraded your kitchen, and now you have to do something with the old stove and dishwasher.

One option is to break your back and knees by loading that stuff into a rental trailer and taking it to the dump. First you’ll have to figure out where the dump is, and then ask if they take old appliances. Another option is to put them in your garage and then try to sell them in your next yard sale. Unfortunately, most people don’t want used appliances. People usually buy new appliances.

There's a website that specialize in Appliance Removal Chicago if you live in that area. You can call them, and they’ll schedule a pickup and take away your old appliances, mattresses, carpets, furniture, TV, computers, and lots of other junk you don’t need anymore. They make an effort to recycle as much as possible and give the usable items to local charities while limiting what they take to the landfill. So if you want to reclaim your garage or storage shed, give them a call and take back your space.

Thanks to those...

Hi, I haven't been able to comment and visit back and this is why. I still try to sneak every now and then because RC takes such long naps since she is sick.

Another doctor's appointment and my little girl is once again, very uneasy inside the observation room of the doctor's office. This afternoon, we went to two separate hospitals. If you are from HI you are familiar with Queen's Medical and Kapiolani. RC had X-ray today and it wasn't such a good news but now I feel better because she is getting the right medication and I'm confident that tomorrow and the coming days will be a better day than today.

My baby, growing so fast. She looks like a little lady here, literally.

Here's us at home. When you live in an apartment, it is hard to find a good spot for taking pictures. This is my favorite place now. If you see the background, that's RC's kitchen. It's one of the biggest score ever. It's selling for almost $200 online and we got it from Goodwill for about $10. It looks like new but missing some pieces like the phone and some of the drawers. As small as it is, it has refrigerator, sink, stove, storage, oven, microwave, backsplash, crown molding and windows with view! It sounds like my dream kitchen haha.

My usual attire, I have more leggings now than jeans. I can't stop wearing them since I started. My shoes from the Philippines looong time ago, I think I have them for 10 years now.

A stress reliever when your child is sick. Rocky Road chocolate ice cream.

Thank you for those who offered to guest post, they're super awesome articles. Thanks for those who are willing to sponsor my blog, I need you more now that I am trying to make extra while I am staying home so I can continue to help my family in terms of finances. A little extra income means a lot. Thanks to the readers who keep coming here even if I cannot visit and comment on your blogs. I will try to catch up soon. Thanks for the new follows via GFC, Twitter (I am getting close to 1000 followers) and FB likes (so far 54). Thanks to those who entered my giveaways. Please feel free to enter if you haven't done so. The links are at the upper right corner of my blog.

Please understand that my blog especially now will be like a TV program, it will have advertisements in between but I will try to provide honest opinions. Thanks for the other bloggers who influenced me in monetizing my blog. You can view my disclosure here. However, when I review, like my life in general, I try to focus more on the positive side of stuff.

Thanks to my husband who keeps on taking pictures even if he does not really feel like it and for working so hard, he even helped me with some of my posts here as already mentioned. Thanks to my baby RC who gives a lot of meaning to my everything including this blog.

I'm joining some link parties here.

Nintendo dress

Hi guys, I still don’t have pictures of mom and daughter tandem to show you so I’ll just show you some interesting stuff that I saw online earlier. I have mentioned this Gadgets Blog here before, the geekalerts.com  and the pictures are all credited to them.  Here are more of my picks from their website. A chocolate candle, how cool is this? It even has a chocolate aroma, great for the chocoholics like me.
All the doors in our apartment have a doorstop. I would love to have some creativity in them. The dormouse doorstop is super cute. I don’t like mice in real life but a plastic with pink ears will do.

How about a Nintendo dress? I think this would be a fun dress for Halloween. That’s fashion and fun together.

This one is called stupid toaster, but if I have made this, I wouldn’t call it stupid. RC will have fun eating this toasted bread. We don’t have a toaster now so this might be a good addition to our kitchen. Another great item for the kitchen is this animal pot holder. I just burned myself the other day while cooking because I did not use a pot holder. I think I will have more use on this one because I and RC can also use them as puppets.

For more pictures and cool tools, you can visit geekalerts.com. You can also get Carbonite offer codes
and Vistaprint coupons. I've been seeing a lot of blogs featuring savings on Vistaprint.

Top of The List with RevLocal

It must be hard to have an online store even if you are targeting local people to buy your products. There is so much competition out there especially in the online world. Have you heard of local search engine marketing? I’m guessing depending on your location, local businesses will appear first when we do an online search. I noticed that about Google when I am looking for some information. We can’t hide from the internet, it knows where we are. I’m not sure with the other search engines since we mainly use Google on our computer.

When a person does an internet search on a topic, they usually look at the first page of results and view a few of those links until they find one they like. Most people don’t venture past the first page because they either find what they’re looking for on page one, or they figure anything after page one won’t give them what they were looking for. So you can either work very hard to get your Google rating high in order to appear on the first page of a search, or there are tools that will do the hard work for you.

Revlocal is a service about local search engine optimization. They do the hard work so you don’t have to. They will provide assistance in getting your blog on page one of internet search results, and they are especially helpful in getting your site listed near the top in mobile searches, Google Maps, Bing Local, and more. So if you want to increase traffic to a business website, you can give revlocal.com a try to boost your local business marketing. I think if I have a growing business, I would try some help like this.

For more information about small business marketing, please go to Revlocal.com. This post is also brought to you by their website.

Guest Post: Teaching Kids through Summer House Chores

In the summer parents often find their children home a lot more than during the school year. This frequently creates tension because parents have their routine, work, or lists of things to do and the kids need attention.

That’s why whenever possible having the kids do some of the chores around the house is a great way to keep them busy. Of course, this may take a little coaxing and parent-child diplomacy but in the end there’s an opportunity to not just keep the home orderly but teach a few things about the world through house cleaning :

  • Taking out the trash: Ok, this may seem like a quick chore but it can involve a lot more than just tying up a bag and tossing it inside an exterior barrel. Parents can teach kids how to divide up trash into landfill, compost, reusables, and recyclable material. They can even ask the child to set up a system for the family that will make this a more efficient process.
  • Washing dishes: If you have a dishwasher then this simply boils down to loading, unloading, and returning dishes and cutlery to their respective places. However, if you’re doing dishes in the sink parents can teach about how to use as little water as possible and why it’s important to conserve.

  • Separate and fold laundry: When there are kids there always seems to be endless laundry. By separating articles of clothing that belong to family members a child can learn appreciation in how to handle other people’s belongings.
  • Sweep the floor: Sweeping is a skill, which like bike riding, once you get it you never forget. Nevertheless, it takes time and kids will only learn how to sweep well by doing it over and over. It’s a lesson in persistence.

  • Watering the garden/plants: Feeding other forms of life is a special gift but you have to know how much to give certain plants. This is the perfect place to show kids when a little is a lot and when more is truly essential.

  • Window cleaning: This can be done with a damp sponge, squeegee, some paper towels and newspaper. It can teach about how when windows are dirty it blocks potential heat that can warm a home in the winter and how when screens get filled with dust particles and wind blows the dust inside it affects the quality of indoor air, which has the potential to cause respiratory problems and other ailments.
Jakob Barry writes for Networx.com. He covers various eco-friendly home improvement topics including carpet cleaning and maid services. Thank you so much Jakob for another great article that you shared here.

Pambra's Original Bra Liners Review and Giveaway - 2 Winners 3 pcs each! Ends 8/14 (CLOSED)

I started walking at the park on the weekends and I used the Pambra's bra liner while walking. My favorite feature of this product is that it absorbs perspiration. It can easily be placed in between the skin and the bra. This is what I was worried about but as long as you have a good fitting bra, you do not need to buy adhesives to attach it. It gives additional support. I would like to wear this whenever it is hot and I need to go outside so I will feel more comfortable. If you have sensitive skin, this is also perfect to avoid skin irritation under the breasts. The fabric is soft and it’s washable. I think this would also be great for girls who are just starting to wear a bra. I remember feeling so itchy and irritated with the elastic touching my skin during my time.

If you are an outdoor type of person or you like to exercise, you will get a lot of use from these bra liners. I was surprised to get three of them for review. If you win, you’ll also get a package of the bra liners. It’s a simple product with proven results.

Pambra's also carries other items that you might want to check out. They have tummy liners, washable nursing pads and more. They also have some tips about bra measurements to help you order the correct size.

There will be 2 winners and open to U.S. residents. Each of the winners will get one package of Pambra liner. One package contains three pieces and you can request for the size of your choice.

REVIEW:

I saw great reviews of this Prefense Hand Sanitizers on more than a couple of blogs so I wanted to try it myself. RC has been getting sick at the child care center and maybe if I have only used this product before, I could have prevented some of the illness she got. She is my little thumb sucker so it’s no surprise to me that she gets virus so easily. Me and RC have been using this hand sanitizer for about a week now.

Why I like it?

1. Safe for kids, alcohol free.
2. Has great packaging where it could easily be used.
3. Very mild fragrance.
4. Smooths and soften the hands.
5. It works like other hand sanitizers where it kills over 99% of germs.
6. According to the label, there’s no need to keep applying it. This is the best thing about this product and it what makes it distinct from the others. For one application, it protects through 10 handwashings.
7. Reasonable price. 1.5 Fl oz is selling for $6.99 (This is what I got for review. If you win you’ll get the 8 FL oz)

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Cruise Vacation to Alaska

There are more and more people that I know that are going on a cruise. I and my husband were talking which cruise we will like more, the one to Mexico or the one to Alaska. Knowing my husband, his choice is Alaska except it would be farther and I’m okay either way. I just like to see new places.

I like traveling as many of us do, I am so glad that this year, we have some plans already to go to the mainland again. In a way, another reason why it is good to be a stay at home mom is that we can just follow my husband’s work schedule and not worry about mine.

For those who would like more information about Alaska cruises, you can visit cruisevacationcenter.com . It is a good resource for those who have plans of going to Alaska. It would be favorable for those who already live in West Canada or those who are in the state of Washington because most cruise to Alaska starts from there. Two people I know went on an Alaskan cruise and they both liked it a lot but they had to fly to Washington state. They both think that it is a money well spent and a vacation to be remembered especially Alaska can be considered the opposite of Hawaii which is always cold. I can already imagine myself in a cruise. I don’t mind if we don’t have a balcony of our own because we’ll probably be out of the room anyway most of the time to enjoy the cruise.

Worried Toddler

My poor baby, she is so aware that whenever we go to the doctor, she will have some tests done and she hates that. She did not even see the doctor here yet. We just went into the room and she got all worried already and hanging on so tight to me. Yesterday, I made a schedule for her to be checked because of  high fever a few days ago and she was coughing.

After, she was happy and she got a Diego sticker that we later put on her shirt. We were wearing matching shirts that I got from Zulily. They are perfect for hot weather, so comfortable. I got her necklace from the Philippines given by my cousin.

A big trash bucket  beside me. RC was getting bored so I made her color the newspaper and while coloring, one lady said, "She just looks like mommy."

RC is taking a long nap today. We did not do much in the last few days because of RC getting sick again. This time she had an ear infection and hopefully she won't get sick much. Tomorrow is the first week that I am definitely not working anymore.

Tomorrow is a giveaway day for my blog. I need to post two giveaways so I hope you check them out.

Update: Please visit my giveaways - One package of Pambra's bra liners 2 winners

Website review: Acuraofpalmbeach.com

Now that there are signs the economy is recovering, some of us are thinking about buying new cars again. It’s probably been years since you had a new car, and maybe your old used car is costing you more in repairs than it’s worth. The best plan of action might be to buy a new car or a quality used car.

For those of you who live in the Palm Beach, Florida area, you can check out http://www.acuraofpalmbeach.com/. They have a complete collection of quality New Acura vehicles. I know someone who owns a 2010 Acura TSX and thinks very highly of it. Acura has cars for everyone, from the large SUV to the family Sedan, they have a car to fit everyone’s needs. Acura’s have always been a highly rated luxury brand, and their latest cars are receiving high praise and excellent reviews. You can also visit acuraofpalmbeach.com to see the services  their offer like oil change. Acura of Palm Beach has a financing department for the cars they sell. You should consider trading in that old car you’re currently driving to a new or used Acura.

For even more information on new or used cars, you can check their blog at http://www.westpalmbeachcarblog.com/.

Staying Connected With TracFone

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of TracFone for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Have you been stuck with the $200 cancellation fees that some companies charge if you cancel you service before the two years have passed? Are you tired of those monthly cell phone bills that always seem to have charges that you weren’t expecting? Has a family member racked up a huge bill by texting friends without letting you know, until the bill arrives with a large extra charge for those thousands of text messages? If so, then you should consider the simplicity and convenience of a TracFone. TracFone offers the least expensive way to own and use a cell phone in America. There are no contracts, no credit checks, no activation charges or cancellation fees.

A video with real TracFone customers:

TracFone also offers so many features and many styles of cell phones. Some are flip phones, and some have keyboards to make texting easier. Many have cameras and can take videos. The TracFone cell phone selection includes simple phones with calling and texting capabilities for under $10.00. They also offer great phones packed with features like camera/video recorder, web access, app capabilities, mp3 player, and full QWERTY keyboard, for $29.99. So if you’re trying to control expenses and keep those pesky extra monthly charges out of your life, maybe a TracFone is the right phone for you. My dad is using a TracFone and he likes the simplicity of it.

Hiltons of Branson Value Package

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Hiltons of Branson for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Branson, Missouri was once a quiet little town in the southern Ozarks near Table Rock Lake and Lake Taneycomo. Today, Branson is one of the top tourist destinations in the US and has over 50 live performance theatres, along with Silver Dollar City amusement park and Shepard of the Hills tour. So if you need a great family vacation, you should make a point to visit Branson and the scenic hills of southern Missouri.
You’ll need a place to stay, and one of the best hotels in Branson is the Hiltons of Branson particularly the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel. At Hiltons of Branson, the amenities and the rooms are top-notch. The hotel is located close to various attractions in Branson. They’re currently offering the Branson Best Value Vacation Package, which includes deluxe accommodations and four tickets to the Legends of Kung Fu show at the White House Theater, two adult and two kid's two-day passes to Silver Dollar City, a $25 gift card for shopping, and a $25 food credit for Level 2 Steakhouse.  You'll have extra money for shopping and food.
When staying at either the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel or the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing your 3rd night is free! If you have been reading my blog, you'll know that I love free. It feels good to be able to save some money and still have a great time during a vacation. Please visit Hiltons of Branson for more information about the packages they offer.
I was fortunate to be able to visit Branson,Missouri in 2007. The photos above were taken at the Hollywood Wax Museum and Ripley's Believe It or Not. I enjoyed my visit there and I would be  happy to go back. Next time, we will definitely consider Hiltons of Branson as a place to stay.

Suze Orman fan

Do you watch Suze Orman? I watched her earlier. Maybe some of you are not a fan of her but I am. Actually I used to watch Clark Howard and Dave Ramsey before too. Speaking of Dave, I don’t know what happened to him, it seems he just disappeared from having a show on TV. Now, I only watch Suze. Other than that, I feel like I keep watching cartoons all the time. My daughter insists on having the TV on even if she is playing something else at our living room.

Anyway, one of the advices Suze Orman talks about is to have insurances. Be proactive and plan for your future and don’t let unexpected expenses affect your retirement goals. We should protect our love ones in case something happened. There are so many type of insurances. As we get older, we are introduced to AARP, Medicare supplement and even BurialInsurance.org. These are organizations for older Americans. AARP offers many types of insurance and give discounts to members, but you must be over 50 years old to join. I’m glad though that I’m still not at that age. I remember turning 30, and thinking, am I really this old? Well, I’m not yet 50 so I’m young!

I'm writing about insurance again. Boring? Actually, I just became an official SAHM and I'm still debating on what to do with the retirement plan I have from work. I might just take them all out since I don't know when I am going back to a regular full time job again.

Open houses (Scenic Sunday)

Some pictures of me and the loves of my life last weekend when we went to open houses. We looked at one house and two condominiums. One of which we lived before, it was good to see it again. Maybe it would be feasible for us to buy instead of rent. It would take a lot of thinking if we ever decide to buy here. Right now, I would say no but I tell my husband that maybe tomorrow we'll just be instantly rich so why not look around so if ever we win the lottery tomorrow we have an idea which property to buy. Unfortunately, there is no lottery in HI, so I had to revise my idea, maybe I'll be discovered and be a movie star? Then we'll be rich haha.

We were doubtful to look at a house because of the price. I mentioned this before and I will mention it again, houses here are so expensive. A simple house with a small yard, three small bedrooms like the one we saw is over 500K.

I used our small camera and my face wasn't too prepared for the pictures. Weekend is around the corner! Happy blogging everyone. Thanks for all the clicks to my blog.

I'm linking with Scenic Sunday

Dance In The Rain

It’s been raining on and off here for the past few days and it is a little unusual because it is the summer season. One way of recycling that many people don’t consider is recycling rainwater. Instead of the rain being soaked into the ground or evaporated, we can use rain barrels to store the water for later use. There are also rain chains that can be purchased at home improvement stores or online and they are designed to transform a simple gutter downspout into a beautiful water feature. A rain chain will allow the rain to “dance” downward depending on the design of the rain chain. Good idea isn’t it? I think it’s a fun way to decorate your home. I should have used something like this when I was still living in the Philippines where it rains a lot.

I remember being a little kid and playing in the rain with my cousins at the back of our house where there’s a tall fence and the neighbors can’t really see us.

This post is brought to you by rainchainlink.com. The first two photos are from their website and you can check them out for more information about chains rain.

Is it Halloween yet?

I’m one of those moms who like to dress up my daughter. I buy her children’s costumes on any holiday and occasion that I can think of. I have to enjoy it while it last and she is not going to be my little girl in the years to come although she will always be my baby. It’s almost August and soon it would be October. It’s time to buy Halloween Costumes . Another one of my frugal idea is to buy items ahead of time because they get more expensive during the holiday season.  And even if it not Halloween, she still loves wearing her tutus and her tiara so buying the costumes are worth it. Do you have an idea what costume you would have for your little one or maybe for yourself this coming Halloween?  As usual, I would like something simple for RC. Here are some of my picks.
Both photos are from  HalloweenAdventure.com. There are a lot more costumes from their website.

Eventish

I bought these goodies from a bake sale a few months ago. Cheap and delicious.

I like supporting fundraising activities especially the ones that are for my friend’s kids. I think that there would come a time when RC is in school and we’ll be getting all those tickets to sell and I would need some help too. Just yesterday, I bought a lunch that costs $10 even though I was already bringing lunch from home. Here, one way the public schools do it is by raising money for school activities and for other good reasons.

I know some companies that facilitate bake sales and the proceeds go to a charitable institution or for their employees. They can also do other events to help the community. There are online resources like Eventish.com that can help with preparing an event that makes it easier, or a fundraising campaign. They help with the planning details, including the time and the budget for an event. They can even help with selling tickets and market your event in case you would like to reach out to more people.

This post is brought yo ou  by http://www.eventish.com/, for more information please check out their website.

Health Gadgets

A lot of people are trying to lose weight and be more healthy to cut down on sicknesses and always feeling tired and run down. Life can be stressful and we sometimes put exercise and dieting off because we don’t feel we have time for them. The benefits of exercise and losing weight are well known, it’s just finding the willpower and desire that’s the problem for most people. I used to watch programs on TV like The Biggest Loser because if those people lose lots of weight and eat healthy, it gives me good ideas about what should be included when I start to try getting healthy.

The Health and Fitness Network located at www.healthfitnet.com carries products for weight loss management, including the MedGem and BodyGem, which are mouthpieces used to measure resting metabolic rate or RMR. The MedGem and BodyGem monitor changes in metabolism, which can be useful in meeting your weight loss goals. They were recently shown in use on The Biggest Loser as part of the weight management plan for contestants.

Another tool available from the Health and Fitness Network is the Cholestech LDX Lipid Analyzer. With only a single drop of blood, it can be used to quickly measure cholesterol and several other important lipid levels. Keeping our cholesterol levels under control will lead to better health and reduces the risk of heart problems in the future. For people who are already using the blood pressure monitors, this will be a good addition to their “health” tools.

Six Tips For Buying a Short Sale

Once again, my husband helped me with this article because he has more experience in buying and selling homes than I do. We are currently renting an apartment here in the island but we bought two houses in the Midwest a few years ago where it is so much cheaper. Houses here in Honolulu are crazy expensive so we thought about investing somewhere else.

1. Whether you are looking to buy a short sale in Las Vegas or another part of the country you need to be patient. There are an abundance of short sales on the market due to the collapse of the real estate market in many parts of the country. The banks take longer to approve a short sale, so you can’t be in a hurry.

2. Have cash available for as much of the sale price as possible. As they say, cash is king. Those with cash have a better chance of being approved than those who require a mortgage loan. Banks are leery about making mortgage loans these days because of the huge amounts of foreclosures they are being stuck with. They have to unload them, but they would prefer to do a short sale because it keeps someone in the home who probably isn’t gutting it.

3. Make sure your have good credit. If you need to take out a mortgage, the credit score requirements are much higher now than they were a few years ago. To even have a chance now, some banks require that you should have at least a 720 credit score, without any bankruptcies or foreclosures on your record for the past 10 years.

4. Be prepared to make multiple offers before you’re successful in getting a signed contract. In Las Vegas and other depressed markets, there is competition on some homes. You may have to raise your offer and you might get into a bidding war on a place that is appealing to someone else.

5. Once you take possession, be prepared to spend money on repairs and upgrades to make the home livable or ready to rent out. You should expect to spend about 20% of the sale price on needed work after the sale.

6. Don’t expect to flip the house and make a quick profit, those days are long gone. You may realize a profit after doing all the repairs and upgrades, but be ready for it to sit on the market because the competition is fierce with all the foreclosures and short sales. You’ll need patience to prosper in the current real estate market.

Additional tip:  These tips are my personal opinion.  Real estate professionals and attorneys can provide specific guidelines for purchasing short sales because laws vary by state and location. You may visit schwartzlawyers.com if you need  help with a short sale.

We attended an open house yesterday and I am sharing some photos with you. The pictures were taken at the yard of a house that is worth over half a million dollars. I'll have to be content living in an apartment for now.

I am participating in a blogger campaign by Bucks2Blog and was compensated. All opinions are purely my own and my husband's.

Royal Hats

Another walking day for the family. This time I let RC walk the last lap but she got tired and went back to her stroller after awhile. The sky can't make up his mind too, it was sunny, then drizzling, then raining then sunny again while we were walking.  It was sunny though most of the time so it was good we finished four laps without getting too wet.

Here's our little princess in her stroller.

We need to have some fun walking so here's some pictures of me being ready for the camera. I know I'm still in 4th of July colors.

Me resting but still soaking myself under the sun.

Me and RC wearing the same hairpieces, I DIY'd the hat hairclip before I learned the buzz about the royals wearing hats during Prince William's and Kate's wedding. Maybe I have a royal instinct? I got these hats for free, with the alligator clips and the base headband, both are less than a dollar each. I can't really think of a good title for this post and "royal hats" is what I can think of right now.

One more week and I'm officially a stay at home mom, it felt like I have been saying this in forever already. The one more month extension of work felt longer when I'm writing about it however, in reality, days are flying by so fast.

I'm joining linky parties here. I  hope everyone had a great weekend.

P.S. I have more giveaways coming soon.

Work From Home

I see a lot of parenting blog authors that are working from home. Some are even sharing their income per month. The idea started to hit me when I became serious in thinking of becoming a stay at home mom since RC kept getting sick in the child care.  As more of us work from home and look to the power of the internet to increase sales, online marketing and affiliate services become more important. For the advertiser's point of view, they want to increase their income while making their products and services more readily available to internet searches, and an international affiliate network can increase worldwide income. Blue Global Media located at  www.blueglobalmedia.com is one of the affiliate network I’ve found.  They offer many services, including a cash advance affiliate program.

So far, I learned that affiliate network management is an advanced marketing tool that generates traffic to your website using paid search, email or other techniques. Visitors to your website are offered links which are related to your site’s content. Those who click on the links are sent to an advertiser’s website where they can browse products and make purchases, if interested. When the sales or leads are made, the advertiser pays the affiliate for referring customers to their site, and top affiliate networks do all that for you, while you sit back and enjoy the income. I still have a lot to learn about this and I have to try if it would work for me. I would like to be an affiliate.

Playing the Printable Luau

My favorite luau was the one from Polynesian Cultural Center and I’ve been there twice before when RC was not born yet. I’ve been to about four luaus here in the island but I did not have much idea of luau games before until I got this Luau Party Games Pack. The ones that I attended are mostly Hawaiian buffet with dancers and singers.

These photos above were taken tonight. This is the second time we played with these paper dolls. I printed and cut the Hawaiian paper dolls for RC. These dolls can also be a giveaway for little girls who attend your party, in case you have one just my thoughts. It also became a learning experience for RC identifying some of the print outs. I just wish I had a lighter cardboard so the colors of the outfits will pop a little bit more.

If you want a fun filled party, you can purchase the Luau Party Games Pack. This pack has ice breakers, trivias, games and even paper dolls. I and my husband did some of the trivia and we both liked it. But this is not just for the nerds. There are also print outs that you can cut out and have your guests do some fun physical games with it. We are not planning a party but we still loved it. Another great thing is when you order, you don’t need to wait for it to come in the mail. You will receive it in an email. You’ll just need to have a printer. You don’t have to think hard to entertain your guests. I received 19 Hawaiian luau party ideas from this party pack and most of them are two pages each.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com created by WebBizIdeas.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commissions 16 CFR, Part 255 Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising.
