Oliver's Labels Review

I got some samples of the Oliver’s labels and they are so cute. They have various themes that you can choose from. I chose a simple flower theme and I placed my blog web address on it. It may not be the perfect text especially for the smaller sticker labels. It would really be best if you choose your child’s name to be put on it. I chose my blog name because I know RC is going out of the child care soon and wouldn’t need all her things to be labeled.

Why buy from Oliver’s labels?

I tried if it’s really waterproof and it is.

It’s also unique in a way that you can choose to place a tracking code on your label so if ever you lose an item and someone finds it they can go to the special website to say that they have found it. You don’t have to give out your personal information to the one who found your item because the staff at Oliver’s labels will act as the mediator between you and the person who found it.

Free shipping on orders $30 and above.

You can choose a package or create a custom package to fit your needs. Their packages include the starter, preschool, clothing, school, camp and custom.
You can shop by design—dinosaurs, letters, flowers, nature etc.

You can pretty much stick it on anything; they even have iron-on clothing labels.

The photos does not do justice, you can hop by their website at oliverslabels.com for better sample pictures.

Overall, I am happy with the labels I received. In the future, especially when RC starts school, I will definitely consider shopping at Oliver’s labels.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com created by WebBizIdeas.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commissions 16 CFR, Part 255 Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising. Mom Daughter At The Park

This is our favorite park now, lots of space, has playground for RC, less crowded and it's only a short drive. It was like having a whole big park to ourselves and the view of the city is amazing.

I was going to make RC wear her pink shoes but she wanted to wear her flip flops. She is becoming a sassy little girl lately. She knows what she wants and she has to have it.

The playground is not too nice, you can tell that it's old with the fading paint and the run down look of the slides.

RC loved the slides too much that she would always cry when it is time to go. I was able to bribe her with picking different colors of little flowers on the way back to the car.

I'm trying to model my hip-T's here. I used both of them, one as scarf and one as t-shirt extender. I purposely used a tight top and a jeans that "falls" to try them. It served its purpose of hiding my assets. My top is the one that keeps going up because of its tightness but the hip-T was there to cover my stretch marks.  One of my readers from US/Canada can win this by joining my latest giveaway. It's really a great accessory.

Don't you love the greens? I do!

I hope everyone is having a great day! I'm excited for the coming three day weekend.

Cover your Assets, Hip T Review, Coupon Code & GIVEAWAY -CLOSED

Hip-T to the rescue! I think this is one of the greatest accessories ever invented and I was given a chance to review the 2 pack special by Christine and Kelley. Thank you so much ladies!

Because I was feeling sassy, I decided to get the 2 Dye 4 Sassy Print. I also got a white one so it can go with any color of my shirt. I will get a lot of use from these Hip-t’s. They also have hoola scarves with beautiful prints.

It’s getting harder to find jeans that are high waisted. I find myself having to pull my jeans up or pulling my shirt down to cover my “assets”. Hip T is like a t-shirt that does not go all the way up, just position it wherever you need extra coverage.

Reasons why I love this product:
1. Can be used as t-shirt extender.
2. Can be used as cleavage cover
3. Can be used as scarf
4. Extremely comfortable
5. Lots of prints to choose from
6. Very fast shipping
7. If you have the printed ones, they make a great way to add color to your shirt.

One of my readers can have a chance to win one Hip-T of their choice!

If you are not feeling very lucky or you would like to purchase this product right away, you can use a 10% off coupon code HIPT102. Another tip for buying, if you're between the sizes 6-8 to go with the smaller size, as there is quite a bit of stretch.

SEO with Webimax

Do you care about Search Engine Optimization? I honestly don’t have much idea about it. It’s something I can learn if I have the time. Although I don’t know how to make my posts optimized for search engines, I know that it is important to the success of any blog or website. I’m glad that I chose the title Mom Daughter Style because I get a lot of traffic from people who search “mom and daughter”.

There’s a website that takes the work out of search engine optimization, they’re called Webimax.com. I was just browsing through their website and they have resources which can help you with keywords, which are important in getting your site listed on search engines like Google and Yahoo. Webimax also has a marketing staff who can help and who stay updated on the latest algorithm updates, which affect how high your listing appears when someone does a search for a blog or website. They also use tools which incorporate social media optimization, which will aid you with Facebook, Twitter, and other social media websites.

Right now, my blog is just a place for sharing and the sponsors are a bonus. To be honest, I would not hire a company for my blog, at least not yet. If I have a growing online business that needs help with exposure to target potential customers, then that’s probably the time for me to use Webimax. However, if anyone knows how to optimize your posts for search engine, I would be interested to know.

My Top 10 Time Saving Tips

I'm a working mom (soon to be a SAHM) so time saving is really important so I get to go home and spend quality time with my daughter. Often times, I feel that 24 hours a day is not enough and therefore, I find ways to save time. I hope you find these tips useful especially for the working moms like me.  I would be delighted to learn more of these tips from you.

 1. Make a schedule and try to stick with it. I find that by scheduling my time I can more easily deal with those pesky little distractions which seem to pop up during the day.

2. When I plan meals, I try to cook more than we need so I can freeze the left overs and then use it for a later meal or for my lunch at work. I have found that even after it’s been frozen and thawed the food still tastes delicious. It could be the way we cook using marinated meats that seem to maintain their flavor better.

3. I don’t take time during the morning at home to put makeup on. I arrive at work a little early and put my makeup on just before my shift starts. I don't get late and I save time.

4. I prepare the clothes that I am going to wear one week before the week starts. I also do this for my daughter. It’s very convenient just to grab them instead of thinking what to wear every morning. I can take extra time to make sure things match and I’m not rushed like I would be on a work morning.

5. I buy microwavable food when we go grocery shopping. You might not agree on this but there are microwavable foods that are supposed to be healthy and they are even being promoted for weight loss. In the past microwavable foods were sometimes not very tasty, but now I find that almost all are flavorful and filling.

6. If you are a blogging mom, you can take advantage of the scheduled post or the draft feature of your blog. You can make posts before you publish them and you can take advantage of your spare time at night when your child/children are sleeping or maybe post them during their nap times.

7. I don't spend much time on Facebook or Myspace. I find that social networking can take up a large  chunk of my free time if I let it. I try to control my time on social networking sites to only a few minutes per day, just long enough to catch up on everyone’s news and then logoff and get back to important things.

8. I don't have a high tech cellphone. I use my phone only for phone calls, and the occasional text message. I only check emails when I’m on the computer. I think this is saving me time because I don't get distracted all day long with constant emails. However, I still wish sometimes that I have a better phone so I can try new apps and have better pictures using my cellphone.

9. Shop online. The world is available online if you do a little research about what sites have the items you’re looking for. The internet carries almost anything you can think of, and many times the shipping is free, and returns are very easy. I don’t waste time or gas driving to the retail store and looking around trying to find what I want.

10. If you can, do two things at one time like exercise while watching TV, do it!  I call it multitasking, even though that term is mostly used in the business world. Try cooking while washing clothes, or similar tasks that naturally go together well.

I am sure you mommies are always busy whether a stay-at-home or working. There is so much do to especially when you have kids. Thanks to Starbucks and SocialMoms for hosting a program for mommies to share their time saving tips.

I wrote this blog post while participating in the SocialMoms and Starbucks blogging program, for a gift card worth $30. For more information on how you can participate, click here

Cindy Crawford Furniture

We probably all have our dream houses, how would you like your house to be? I would like to rearrange the furniture in our apartment to make it nicer. For sure, I would love to have a great big bed too in our bedroom. The RoomPlace offers exclusive Cindy Crawford furniture. I was browsing through the website and I found so many inspirations on how to arrange the living room and bedrooms. The RoomPlace is located in the state of Illinois but they do accept orders online at reasonable delivery/shipping rates. The children’s furnitures are also cute and stylish.

When you have a child, you want the rooms in your house to not just look nice but also to be functional. I would love to have more storage area for it is always an issue when you are living in an apartment particularly a condo unit. A comfortable reclining chair would be great too.

Book Review: How To Build Your Army Of Affiliates

This is the first time I was able to review a book, this one is called How To Build Your Army Of Affiliates. I got interested in it because I became a member of a shopping website and I was able to gain a store credit of more than $100+ just by inviting people to join and I am not even their registered affiliate, I’m just a regular member where I get an invitation link that is available for all the members of their shopping site. Having affiliate links is going to be in my blog’s future. I see a lot of blogs with affiliate links.

This book is targeted more for business owners rather than publishers but I thought that I would be a better affiliate if I understand better the business owner’s prospective. For me, the best thing about this book is that it also provides sets of links about other affiliate resources. It does not only explain great points about marketing and finding partners for the business but it is also a resource for other things important to all businesses like expanding their readers or audience.

There is so much to learn in blogging and there are so many interesting people that would give you inspirations on parenting, crafts, clothing, cooking, etc. The thing I love about reviewing is that you don't have to sell, you just have to write about them and it is up to the readers if they are interested in buying or not. I would admit that I don’t like being pushed to buy something. However, with blogging, everybody has their opinion and you are basically just sharing opinions while you review a website that was provided. I tried to sell in person and online at places like EBay, I know how difficult it can be especially with the competition. This book shows how to get people involved in your business by being an affiliate.

Happy Father's day!

More pictures of us from last week. We decided to celebrate Father's day early instead of doing something today to avoid the crowded streets and restaurants. Today, we went to the grocery and we just cooked at  home. I think my husband is okay with it.  I enjoy cooking except the washing dishes part and we don't have a dishwasher. I hope all the dads out there had a super great day today.

It's nice to be away from home from time to time even if we were just having staycations. The different atmosphere and the ocean just by the side gives me the feeling of relaxation and RC is able to experience new things too. We had a great location for a cabin this time but I don't like the couch, it's a little filthy. It was close to the mini golf, to the beach and to the playground. It also has a big space outside for RC to play around.

I think it shows that she is my mini me in the picture below. During this night, we watched the sky with the clouds covering the moon on and off. RC was saying hello and bye to the moon.

I love these pictures of RC. She was laughing here because she was able ti hug herself.

We also took some pictures at the mini golf with matching shirts, I will post it soon.

Again, I'll take this opportunity to promote my GIVEAWAY, it will end on 6/30. I will host another giveaway next week. I hope you join! It's for mommies and ladies this time.

It's Monday tomorrow, the weekends go so fast.

Truck

Before we had our SUV we had a truck, my husband had it for many years. It was very good for camping. Although we both like it, it was time to change it and it was the right decision with RC coming. Having a vehicle is really a necessity nowadays. It’s one of the greatest inventions.

I see many trucks here in the island; some even have those huge bulky tires. It is probably because a lot of people here enjoy the outdoors and they can do it almost anytime. I think trucks are good especially if you have a business in which you will have to load lots of stuff and the storage is not directly attached to the internal part of the vehicle. That way, you can always keep clean of the inside and let all the bulky stuff to be outside.

For those who have trucks, you can check out performancetruckproducts.com for intensive line of truck accessories. I believe some of their products can also be used for regular vehicles. They offer free shipping, easy returns, secure shopping and a pricing guarantee.

This was how our old truck looked like, we had a Ford.
Speaking of outdoors, I would like to share some road pictures I took a few days ago.

On health and doctor visits

A few days after submitting my resignation letter, my supervisor asked me if I can stay a month longer, I thought about it through the night and decided to say yes. The reason for this is because we probably need a longer time so we can transfer the health insurance under my husband’s. I'm already added to his but RC is not yet added so we will have to go to an office to request for it and he can't take off from work at this time. Health insurances are very important but they can cost a lot. They take a big chunk of your paycheck. This will also give us some time to know our options if we can stay at our current physicians or if we will have to be transferred. I will have to wait a little more before I become a stay at home mom.

For those who live in Florida and wants information about Florida Medicare, you may want to visit myfloridamedicare.net, they offer free quote and there is a tutorial that is easy to understand. Different benefits about Medicare can be confusing and sometimes an expert is what we need so we can comprehend things better. They have useful links to choose from about government benefits and even have a link for translation services.

Here are some pictures of me and RC during her last doctor’s visit.

These first two pictures were taken just before we left the apartment.

RC playing at the waiting area.

I remember when she was a baby and she can easily fit in this kind of weighing scale.

I hope everyone is having a great weekend, advance  Happy Father's day to daddies out there!

AURemovals

I’ve already featured the country of Australia here before and posting some photos. I’ll do it again. I think we’re all familiar with Sydney Opera House in Sydney, Australia. I would really love to see it someday.

There’s a website that would take the hassle out of moving either within Australia or internationally to or from Australia. It’s called AURemovals.com. Removal Companies are what Americans would call moving companies.. In Australia and some other parts of the world it’s called removals that is being done by removalists (instead of movers).  I just learned that now!

So if you’re currently living in Australia, or planning to move there, you can do research and find whatever help is available to you. AURemovals.com is a resource for local or international removals which would make your impending move much easier.

Have fun at the beach

Who cares about the muffin tops if you are  having fun? That was the best comment I received when I posted the first set of these pictures. The water was kind of rough at this beach but it was still good, we were just by the shore. Of course, I am scared that RC or myself might be washed away.

We both loved it. These are the moments where I just want to freeze the time. RC was very happy and giggling constantly everytime the water comes. We also played in the sand and build a mountain.

Too much pictures? I hope not.

Going to the beach is really fun especially this summer.

I am overwhelmed by the amount of comments I received lately and again, I'm sorry that I can't get back to you as fast as I want to.  I do get back and visit those who leave comments and I follow back, I may just be slow.  I can't wait to be a stay at home mom. Pretty soon.

Thank you for all those who entered the giveaway that I am hosting. It is my very first for this blog so I want it to be a success. I'm trying hard to promote it. I wish it is for everyone but my sponsor My Baby Clothes Boutique is only shipping to US residents at this time. For those who have not entered the giveaway yet, please do enter HERE.  If you are already my follower, you will just have to visit their website and comment on the giveaway blog post on which item you would like to have from their store.

Happy Wednesday everyone!
