Flower box

These window boxes for flowers remind me of the movie Under the Tuscan Sun. It’s a romantic movie. After I watched it, I want to see Europe, Italy in general. I watched other movies where the setting is in Italy and I think it would be worth going there.

The classic houses and buildings with flower boxes are beautiful. I can feel the history just by watching it on TV. I wouldn’t have a problem about the food either because I think Italian food is tasty and delicious. Well, I wouldn’t be going there in the near future but I hope someday I can go visit that country.

State signs

These are pictures from years ago. I just wanted to have some pictures with the state signs.  Signs are important. They promote safety, regulate traffic and they can also be means to decorate. They give drivers information on the route they’re traveling. Haven’t we all taken pictures next to a sign that says you’re entering another state?

Address plaques are also a type of sign that provide information—your address. If you have a house, you may want to beautify your front yard with a unique address plaque in a modern or contemporary design. It will also be helpful to identify your home easily. Have you ever been frustrated when you’re trying to see someone’s address when visiting them for the first time? Home address plaques are becoming a great and simple way to add curb appeal to your home.

We have various reasons for blogging. Some are blogging for money, some to share their hobby and some blog about games like Age of War and Boxhead 2. I was just looking at Yousaytoo.com and I think if I want to give my blog a little more exposure, I can try joining the site. It’s pretty interesting to see different articles posted by bloggers around the world.

You can also earn revenue by joining Ad Sense and Amazon Affiliate revenue sharing through their website. I haven’t tried any of these because I want to keep my side bars less crowded. I just rely on sponsored posts every now and then. I still have a lot to learn about blogging. But somehow I feel like I am getting to be a lot more computer savvy through blogging.

Unbelievabra

Pregnancy left me with many stretch marks and “muffin tops”. Although I don't think about it much and it is probably not noticeable because I try not to wear body hugging shirts, I sometimes wish I could wear the tightest clothes and still look as good from the front as the side. I have tried a seamless shape wear before but it rolled up so I kept having to go to the restroom to pull it down.

Unbelievabra.com is a website that catched my attention because aside from the brand name, their products looked promising. I think I also need a bra and cami with cleavage cover. The only problem for me is the price but a lot of times we have to pay for what we get. I read testimonials not only from their website but also from other internet sites as well. Most of the ratings of their products are 4 or 5 out of 5 stars. Maybe I have to wait until this product goes on sale but it is something I want to have now.

Here’s the picture of the bra and cami with cleavage cover.

Here are some before and after pictures from Unbelievabra.com photo gallery.

All play

I got a new cable for my small camera so I was able to upload pictures from it. I just thought of sharing some of RC's pictures from her first day of preschool.

Skycrapers

I posted some of these pictures before but I thought of posting them again because I was looking through our window and I see a lot of tall buildings. I have always wondered how they can run the cables on multiple floors of tall buildings, whether residential or business.  My friend works in IT and sometimes does network cable and fiber optic installation but they never work in high-rise buildings.  He told me that for complicated jobs, they would use a Structured Cabling Contractor to do the work, and that there can be bad stories if you hire people that aren’t professional data cabling installers.  Just think about installing something for use of thousands of people in one building.  it must be complicated.

Layer your food

I made this multi grain cracker with layers of cheese, salmon, mayonaise, tomato and dressing. It's easy to make and I think it passed the taste test. Well, I only have to please two people in my home and for this kind of food, I only have to please the hubby. Maybe next time I can actually feature something that I cooked here.

Another idea for my mission organization is to buy kitchen spice racks which can come in different styles. I don't cook a lot but I want to start and learn to make more dishes. I wish my kitchen is nicer than it is now so I will get more motivated to stay and get creative with cooking. Right now, I don't have a spice rack. I just put it up all the spices in the kitchen cabinets.

Here are some spice racks I would love to have. A simple wall spice rack to save some space and a ferris wheel spice rack.

Kid's lockers

Lockers have been a part of almost every day of my life. In high school, I had a small school locker and now at work, we also have lockers located just outside the restroom. Initially, I thought of getting a bookshelf but after looking at morelockers.com website, I’m thinking of getting one for RC. She is accumulating more clothes and toys and I think I need to be more organized. The colors are so cute too.

There are plastic, metal and even wood lockers to choose from. My preference would be something made of wood and I can put colorful bins in it.

Outback Steakhouse

There were pictures from last weekend. We went to Outback Steakhouse. The food was great, it was a little pricey. We had a $50 gift card but still ended up paying almost $40 but that includes the 15% tip. This is probably the third or fourth time I've been to this restaurant.

For those of you that are US based, local.com is a good resource when looking for local restaurants. It also features other businesses, coupons and events in your local area. You can search a store name by alphabet or by category.  It also lets you see the current weather and you have the option to look for driving directions.  I just tried doing a local search for Outback Steakhouse and it gave me all the locations here in our area so I’ll probably use it more in the future.  Overall, it is like looking through the local yellowpages of your phone directory except there is lots more information.

Webhost

I know my blog is full of pictures. This is one of my few posts without pictures.  I received a comment before about how my plan will be in case I already used up all the allotted picture space in blogger. I did not even think about it before I received that comment. I started researching and yes, there is a limit to the memory each blogger can use.  I think my option will be to look for a webhosting site or maybe upgrade my blogger account. I’m not sure how that will turn out but, right now, the pictures are still uploading pretty well. Has anybody else experienced reaching their limit in regards to uploading pictures?  I just thought of asking you. I’ll also check up web hosting reviews online.

I haven’t been doing blog hopping yet, I’ll be visiting your blogs soon.  Thanks for all the comments.

Medical scrubs collection

I know this is the third time I've written about Medical scrubs. I work for a healthcare company and I may be required to wear scrubs at work this year on some occasions. I currently don’t wear scrubs at work, because I work at the admin area but when I have work with some people in the laboratory, I will have to wear them. Maybe I will also feel like somebody from Grey’s Anatomy. Just kidding.

Medicalscrubscollection.com has a variety to offer, and they have a lot of pieces that don't look like the regular scrubs, so I can wear them outside of work just like the floral tops below. They have Cherokee scrubs and Baby Phat scrubs. Medicalscrubscollection.com are cheaper compared with other scrub websites. They have pieces for less than $15.00. I’m the frugal type of lady. They have a hassle free return and exchange policy. As for sizes, they have junior and petite sizes too. I’ve already posted here before how short I am.

They  have a lot of prints and plains but I just put some pictures of printed tops here. I love colors so I can mix and match my clothes better. I'm struggling to go back to basics and buy more plain pieces. I don't think I'm ready yet for the ongoing mix prints right now. I've tried it a couple times though but it's not working out for me yet.

Avista

I can’t wait to go on vacation, next month we’re going to Missouri. It will be my third time to go to that state. We basically go to the same states every time we travel.  Hopefully, this year I will be able to see a new state, and I’m looking forward to expanding the number of states that I have visited.  If we go to the East Coast on a future vacation, it would be good to consider Avista resort in South Carolina. You can visit their website at http://avistaresort.com/.  It’s one of the resorts in Myrtle Beach.  It would be something new for me.  Based on the pictures I saw from their website, it looks really nice. This Myrtle Beach hotel offers a condo-type setting instead of just a room. The beach is only a few feet away.  Since we also have a lot of beaches here, it would be like a home away from home.

Mailbox model

These are our apartment mailboxes. I know they are small but if we get a box, then the mailman will put the box in these larger boxes. I’m not sure if both of these are considered cluster mailboxes, but I think they are. Sometimes, for even bigger boxes, the mailman has to call us so we can go downstairs to get our package, or she will leave a form that we can take to the post office the next day and pick up our box. It’s not very convenient when we are at work but somehow some delivery companies know that they should deliver late in the afternoon or even at night. Before I lived in a high rise building, I would only see commercial mailboxes in business areas, but after five years in high rises, I’m used to them  now.

Books

Here are some of RC’s books. Sometimes, I think about going back to school, but one reason why I don’t want to go back to college, aside from mandatory reading of books, is because I don’t want to be in debt. College classes are so expensive now. I know more than a couple people  that are working and going to school at the same time. When they are done with school, they will have to begin paying off their school debt. I really applaud people who have so much ambition because they are an inspiration to me. Scholarships are a good way to go to school, who doesn’t want to go for reduced prices or free? I was just reading this article about scholarships for left handed people. I haven’t heard of it before, but isn’t it great that there’s a website for people looking for scholarships?

You can find articles about African American scholarships and pre med scholarships at Schoolscholarships.org.  Please note that I have not tried applying for scholarship based on their website. I am just sharing the information.

Have a great week!

Wine racks

I’m not a wine drinker, but wine drinkers seem sophisticated to me and wine drinking has become very popular.  Whether you’re a well-versed wine drinker, or simply someone who enjoys a nice glass with dinner on occasion, one of the ways to maintain a proper wine collection is educating yourself on the various types and styles of wine racks.
Along with wine racks, you may also need a wine glass rack.  Wine glass racks can hold different amounts of wine glasses.  A popular style is a hanging wine glass rack.  Wine glass racks are not only functional in helping to keep the wine glasses stored properly, but they are also beautiful additions to your home,  adding a touch of elegance and class.  Some stemware racks are small and some are large, and they are made from a variety of materials. I would love to have these racks at my home.

Recycle

These are Christmas wreaths that are made of recycled scrap. I like the creativity that was put on each one of them. This was an exhibit/contest that I attended last Christmas season. Going green is really "in" nowadays. Companies are starting to manufacture organic clothing, furniture that is from recycled materials etc. I do take part in recycling myself. I like to thrift and I do collect empty cans and put them in the recycle bin instead of a regular trash can. Companies also do their part in electronic recycling to reduce e-waste. Computer disposal has to be done properly because computers contains some chemicals that might harm the environment.

Even online, we see companies like Round2.net that are commited to responsible discarding of e waste. I learned about how computers are being recycled from their website. It is a great idea to be environmentally responsible. After all, we only have one Earth with limited resources.

PMS

Every month, we ladies experience having our periods. I know I sometimes act like a monster when it's that time of the month. Luckily, I am able to control myself when I am at work or when I am with RC so my  husband is always the victim. He doesn't mind much, I think he got used to it. Sometimes, I wonder how I will be when I someday experience signs of menopause. Insomnia, hot flashes and mood swings are signs of menopause according to Healthline.com.  I'm not sure how I will be affected but it is inevitable. I heard a lot about it from older women that I know. Even if I don't have signs of menopause yet, just PMS (pre-menstrual syndrome), I just blame it on the hormones. It's a great excuse. You have probably heard of the commercial... Have a happy period! I'll try!

Anyway, here is my picture from last weekend after me and RC went to a birthday party. Just a simple black outfit.
